Vail Dance Festival — Local services in Vail

Says family friendly. I took my 5 year old daughter (daddy daughter date) and we had seats on row 3. She was a little too wiggly and not as interested as I hoped so we moved to the lawn. My daughter played quietly in the back lawn before meeting a friend where they started running around, dancing, and jumping off the rocks. That was the least disruptive I could get. There was no intermission for me to remove her from the venue quietly. It would have caused a scene. I was told if my child is not capable of behaving then she should not be here. AMP has a great atmosphere. The pavillion chairs are terrible and you will get a backache. Based on their advertisements, international dance nights were supposed to be a mix of ballet, street dance and tap dance, well that was a joke I guess. All of it was ballet. We also saw some sessions back to back and they repeated atleast 4 dances (all mediocare ballet). My guess is, their performers candelled and they didnt even bother to announce and rerun a few pieces. That was a waste of our time. Marta Graham company was great!!! Opening night...
