I parked in the Vail Village public garage on June 8, 2025, from around 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM — just over 4 hours. When I exited, the machine charged me $75. For what?! This is supposed to be public parking with a max of $10 per day (with free first hour). No events, no overnight stay, no warnings — just a flat-out ridiculous charge.
Here’s how the rates are supposed to work: • First Hour: Free • After that: $2/hour • Max Daily Rate: $10 • After 3 PM: Free until 4 AM
But instead, I got hit with $75. I followed the signs to the public garage, didn’t see any event signs or special pricing, and definitely didn’t stay past evening. Either the system glitched, misread the time, or they’ve started scamming people.
$75 for a few hours in the afternoon is insane. Vail is beautiful, but this kind of crap leaves a bad taste. Tourists beware — double-check where you’re parking and take a picture of the entrance sign. I’m contacting the parking office to dispute this, but others should know before it happens to them too. Update-they charged us Solaris lodge charges which totally...
Read moreThis was my first time parking at Vail Village - I typically park in Lionshead, but needed to park here instead. There were some misleading reviews about how far it is to Gondola One and how small the spots were.
The spots seemed no differently sized from other parking garages. Our 4-Runner fit just fine. A full sized SUV or pickup may have a little challenge, but you guys already know the drill, right?? The walk to the gondola wasn't bad at all. No different than Lionshead. The bathrooms were SPOTLESS!! Like unbelievably clean for a parking garage.
Parking was $30 for the day (non peak weekday). I will certainly be using this garage again...
Read moreWe had free parking during business hours. I think it was two hours and under. The spots are very tight so you have to search for somewhere you can be on your own. The clearance is pretty low so if your vehicle won't fit in your home garage, it won't fit in here. I had to remove the CB and GMRS antennas from my 2004 Land Rover Discovery to fit inside. As a reference, my F250 with a 2" lift will never fit in here. We were able to find a spot far from other people so we had enough room to not get dinged. It's about the only option for parking so it...
