10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits — Local services in Vail

Update-I'm impressed that Ryan sent out his cell # and there is a new delivery service that is first rate. So, 10th gets a 5 star for their product (Bourbon is great the Cordial is to die for) Optima 0 for their shipping service. However, I don't 100% exonerate 10th for shipping issues and that Ryan says it's "out of our hands". Despite the myriad complications of shipping spirits across states (thanks US Govt.) its representative of your business and if you can't control service for shipping from distillery to customer don't sell online.

To be clear, the spirits from 10th Mountain are excellent. The 1 star is for the extremely poor shipping service from Optima. As long as 10th mountain uses Optima I will never buy another drop of their products online. Optima's tracking doesn't work, calling them (although you get a human right off the bat) is useless since they don't communicate instructions to the drivers. For example I talked to the customer service rep, gave him my cell # so the driver could contact me, and told him no one was at home (besides 190 pounds worth of German Shepherds) the next day. So what happens the next day, a delivery attempt was made, I got no phone call, and no notification of the delivery was left at my house. I finally got fed-up and made a 1 hour, 45 min round trip drive to pick-up the package rather than wait another 3 days until Optima tried to deliver again. What a dump their facility was, the staff was very polite and helpful however it did not look like a professionally...

I've been coming to Vail for 28 years and I've been coming to 10th Mountain since it opened. I can't believe I've never reviewed this place! What I should really say is that it's horrible so it doesn't get over crowded. But then I'd be doing the distillery a huge disservice. I love this place! The whiskey and spirits here are top notch and I love stopping in after slaying the righteous gnar. No food so bring some takeout or brown bag it from home! My boyfriend and I like to come back to our car from skiing with some nice hot soup waiting for us! Our soup as well as ourselves are always welcome at 10th Mountain!

Leave your snobbery at the door too. This place welcomes ski boots and embraces the ski/board community as it should! It has that perfect warmth feel from an all wood interior. Only thing missing is a fireplace.

Special shout out to Mark! He's been working there for 7 years and he always does such a great job and is very relational and personable! I'm always happy to see him still working at 10th Mountain whenever I stop by. Thank you Mark for talking with my boyfriend and I about some lit hiking spots!

Andy did a fantastic job coordinating our private Wedding Welcome Gathering at 10th Mountain for 60 of our guests from all over the country! From assistance with ordering beverages, room arrangements, and a breakdown of costing and accounting - the process was very straightforward and professional. You can be confident that Andy's recommendations are spot on - HE IS AN EXPERT at this type of event planning! On the day of the event he was there to ensure everything we desired was happening, and his staff was superb. Our guests raved about this event!

In large part the success rested on the planning efforts and execution - which were exemplary (!) and as a result the event was wonderful!
