I am a lifetime colorado resident.. I lived and and worked in Vail about 22 years ago..
I had the opportunity to stay the weekend this past summer..
I bought a new fuzzy “Vail” labeled jacket for my 11 year old son..
something i like to do when ever we visit the old mountain communities
needless to say my son didn’t like jacket as it did not fit him very well..
so the next morning ..(less than 12 hours later) I decided I should return the $150.00 jacket..
I waited for the store to open and with the Jacket and receipt in hand.
I asked the person at the counter if I can return it..
So he asked if my kid had worn it.. “just to try it on” I replied..
he said it is store policy that worn clothing is not eligible for returns and there is absolutely nothing he can do to help me.. then basically told me to leave..
I would recommend that visitors to the Village avoid this store as there are many clothing stores in the Village that are far better at...

The reasoning for my 1 star review is due to the fact that I bought a Christmas gift in which my husband would like to return or even exchange for credit. Unfortunately during the time of purchase I was never informed that this store belongs to the Vail resort group and is not a stand alone Patagonia meaning I cannot go to any other store to make this return or exchange. I don’t live in Vail as I was on Vacation and have contacted the store over 5 different days and time. Each call I am told they “are busy and don’t have time to help me”. Now I’m stuck pay $100 for a pair of pants I cannot even use. Be sure you’re 200% keeping anything you buy at this store. Frustrating experience and horrible...
   Read moreWhile visiting Vail, I stopped in the Patagonia store just to look around. A sales associate noticed I was looking at the duffle bags. I currently own a Patagonia bag and was comparing the two. I shared with the associate a slight issue I was having with my bag. Upon hearing this information, she introduced me to the store’s GM. The GM was extremely nice and asked if the bag was with me (it was because I traveled with it). Upon retrieving my bag, she gladly replaced it with a new bag off the showroom floor.
