If I could give this place any less than one star, I would. We called ahead of time and asked if there was a wait, he said about 35-45 minutes and it’s first come first serve for the waitlist. That was fine. A member of our party walked over there and put our name on the list, and we arrived 10 minutes early for that timeframe to be sure we were all there. We were initially told there were two groups in front of us, and we waited outside the opening to be seated. An hour and fifteen minutes goes by, and what seemed to be an MOD comes over and says “are you here for dinner? You’re not on the waitlist yet correct?” Of course we’re like “ummm yes, have been for almost two hours at this point”. Her response was “what’s the last name? Ohhh, there’s uhhh, ummm, someone else in front of you but I don’t know if they’re here, let me go find out”. She finally comes back 20 minutes later to tell us there are no tables open. I’m no Karen, but imagine having to stand there for almost 2 hours in a mask where they have no A/C, and watch them let 50-60 people crowd in shoulder to shoulder/body to body at the bar without a mask. They had a guy at the door checking capacity, mask down, letting in random groups of 20-somethings who would get in at the bar then snag tables as they came open out from under people waiting.
The girl that was the MOD was rude and clueless- they were definitely overwhelmed and had no idea how to fix the situation. Eventually she came back and said she had a table, but two members of our party had such a bad taste that they left. By this point it’s 8:30 and not many options left open so we went ahead to the “table”- they had sat us on couches with a coffee table in front of us, not a dining table. Unreal. Her response? “Well we have people in the dining room that are still ordering drinks, and even though they’re not ordering food we don’t want to offend them while they’re relaxing”. HAHAHA what? I’ve never in my life. She had just got done saying we could go to the “pool room” and order from the bar- why not ask the people who are only ordering drinks to navigate to ANY of the bar areas, and reserve your dining tables for dinner guests? That’s not capitalizing on as much revenue as possible during your off season.

Read moreI arrived at around 4:00pm (during happy hour (3:00-6:00) on Tuesday, March 11. This place was a little confusing as you had to go down stairs to get there and there was a very small sign with the restaurant name. Even when we went down it was slightly difficult to navigate into the restaurant. Seats were easy to find, not too packed. Going during happy hour is definitely worth it entrees were $22 appetizers were $12 and drinks were $6, but they were out of the crab legs.
For appetizers we ordered the nachos and added chicken, nachos were great! All the entrees were huge! For my entree, I ordered the filet mignon and a side of mashed potatoes. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was not bad, it was a little rough and the meat didn’t feel like filet mignon. Mashed potatoes were phenomenal, they were perfectly cooked and paired well with the gravy. The fries were nice as they were fluffy in the middle and crispy on the outside, could use more salt in my opinion, but was pretty good. Another ordered fish chips, the fish was cooked well, but could use more seasoning. The batter was not very thick which was good. If you like fish and chips this is a go to. Many others ordered the plum duck as it was very popular here. Portion was humongous. They put a lot of sauce which wasn’t favorable, it made the spring rolls soggy. It was a little sweeter than preferred. Cooked well and had crispy edges. However, the rice wasn’t good, it was dry and tasted like it just came out the fridge. Service was great, our waiter was very attentive and friendly.
In conclusion, this place is a great spot to go for late lunch or early dinner (3:00-6:00) as the happy hour prices are great. I really wish I could try the crab legs, they may have took it off during happy hour, and said they were out. Food could be better, service was phenomenal and atmosphere...
Read moreWe were looking for an apres ski option that we haven't done before that had good deals. They don't take reservations so we walked in about 3:30pm. There were a few open tables. Most everything filled up though around 4-4:30 though. It was busy! But the service was still great even though they were busy (good sign). The bar got a tiny bit backed up but that's to be expected. Their happy hour/apres ski is from 3pm-5pm. They have $5.50 you call it drinks (top shelf margarita? Yes please!), $10.75 starters and pub grub (this includes sandwiches, tacos, fish and chips and burgers!). Compared to the $20 burger at Elway's or Chophouse, this is an amazing deal. We ordered the buffalo fries (They were good but wouldn't get them again), the king george burger (really good), the ahi tuna fish tacos (amazing), the fish and chips (really good), and the philly cheese steak sandwich (huge portion, but it is dry to make sure to ask for some of the chipotle aioli with it because it is so good). They have warm spiked drinks and tons of beers as well for happy hour. The atmosphere is cool, they have a lot of decorations. It is in the basement though so it is dark with no windows. For Apres ski we normally like to sit outside with mountain views, but this place is the opposite. I guess it would be perfect for a cold and snowy day. Either way we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back for the apres ski...
