Coastal Edge 21st Street — Attraction in Virginia Beach

Went to this place to get a skateboard because I was visiting a friend here in VA beach for a day or two more and forgot my skateboard and so I decided to buy a new one here. The staff was attentive, helpful and nice but when it came to details about the return policy, there was a complete attitude shift. They told me(the night that I bought the board) that if I kept the receipt I could return it... Of course, anyone in their right mind as a customer would automatically think you can return it and get your money back... and since it was not made clear that I COULDN'T get my money back, I was not able to. I didn't even use the board AT ALL and it had nothing wrong with it upon me returning it the day after I bought it. I suppose I could have just not bought it, but I wanted to take this opportunity to skate at the beach(though I couldn't because of rain and me leaving earlier than expected). Now, I have over 80 dollars of my own money as store credit at this store because there weren't many other boards for my foot size that were completely built boards as the one I returned was one of the only ones that fit. I would have just not wrote a review but I think about this often and the fact that I still have money sitting in their system. I really wish the return policy could have been made MUCH more clear, otherwise this wouldn't...

VERY RUDE AND BAD SERVICE My 7 years old daughter when to Wes Laine surf camp that part of Coastal edge business I Guess for 3 days and her last day after the class we all back to the surf shop for lunch and reward everybody have pizza and drinks everything was ok till the end that everyone get a bag from them and they gave my daughter real small Roxy T-shirt and Small Surf Camp T-shirt and we try to tell the guy that I not fit her even go trough her head and we show it to the guy but he kept saying that will fit her and a lot of the kids have the same problem so the guy when to get the OTHER kids Right size but not for my daughter. And than my mother in-law went to talk to him again THE GUY just throwing the bigger size on the floor and said here bigger Size while my mother in-law was standing next to Him if he just hand it to her we won’t be upset. The Guy was so rude to us on the last day of the Surf Camp he acting like the Camp Is over he don’t have anything to do with us anymore AND THE guyGUY is THE MANAGER of Coastal Edge 21st Street and The One that the teach my daughter how to surf . That was he treated us the end of Camp surf We plan to go to Surf Camp Again before the end of summer but forget it NEVER go...

I never post any kind of reviews on google or anything, but I felt like I needed to for my experience at this store… I have never in all my 51 years experienced hospitality like I did when I was at this store. Sydney, the shift lead, led me in all the right directions for everything I needed. She was intelligent, gorgeous, passionate about the store, and an amazing helpful person. I have the occasional misstep/fall due to leg issues from my time in the military, and she was the first one to help me up and not make me feel embarrassed. If you need surf gear, go here! The other worker Melissa was a lil awkward...
