Seaside Raw Bar — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Absolutely the best place I have found to eat in Virginia Beach. Read a whole mess of reviews before my mother and I decided to try it out for ourselves. Atmosphere was perfect (knew it was great when we went walked in and I saw the autographed Glassjaw shirt on the wall). Music was jamming the whole time we were there. As soon as we walked in we met Mark, who made us the most delicious drinks: a margarita and an apple crush. He described the Apple Crush as tasting like Capri Sun and wow, was he correct about that. Went down so smooth but packed a bit of a bunch. But the real reason we were there was to eat dinner. I had the 50/50 seafood boil which was absolutely phenomenal. Duane put his foot in it (iykyk). My mother had the Chesapeake sandwich which she described it as being "The bomb dot com." Overall I gotta say... great service, great atmosphere and great great food. Food: The food came out cold and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Service: The bartender is the manager and the gm and also the owner, so there’s never, “any cold food” at this establishment, no matter what! There’s nothing you can do about it because the “bartender/manager/gm/owner” will have their security kick you out!

Atmosphere: It aeemed like a cool party spot. Definitely don’t order food!!!!!!!!!!!!

The security is also super ghetto and I highly recommend not trusting any of their security. Especially if you’re taking your lady out to dinner!

I don’t know what to say besides “come here!” Absolutely amazing service, hospitality and most importantly, food!! Holy cow. Never have I been in a dive bar that not only stores the labeled and dated food right in front of you, but preps and cooks it as well!?? My fiancee has a gluten allergy and when we initially asked about the gluten, the staff was not too sure. After a very friendly and brief conversation, we found out most of their dishes are gluten free!!! Heck yes!! Two dozen oysters, a 50/50 boil, crab dip and several drinks later, we were having drinks with the,then off duty, chef and having and amazing time eating and drinking and making new friends all around. Such a divey experience and the prices for the food are amazing. Do not hesitate to come here. Don’t let the cover fool you. Just coke hungry...
