Absolutely THE place to go to while in Virginia Beach! From 4 years old to 100 years old, the staff can accommodate you and make your dream of flight a reality. The staff are incredibly friendly and the flight instructors here are incredibly talented, skilled, and well trained. You can definitely tell they take safety seriously. The best part is, if you want to go again, they will absolutely let you! You can get more time and even high flights while in the tunnel! The sky is the limit if you want to have a good time!
After my first flight, I knew this is something I would want to do again, so I signed up for the L1FT program! It's a much cheaper option that will get you 1 on 1 time with a coach to get you proficient at belly and maybe even back flying! You can also buy return packages if you don't think you want to be a member, but want discounted rates for you, your friends, or your family. I absolutely recommend this option if there isn't an iFly near you.
If you get the chance to fly with Brian, he's a great dude! Very positive with a fantastic sense of humor. You will definitely have a blast! Everyone on the team is awesome, but Brian is the bomb-dot-com. XD

(1) - Amanda Shrong is clearly a disgruntled "somebody" who knows the staff pretty well... It's common sense that at a certain weight, it's unsafe for the instructors, and beyond that some weights are not able to fly.. The fan can only go so fast. At 230lbs, it takes 80% power for me to fly comfortably.. It's not discrimination, but a petty attempt to slander this business. Not very classy to call out employees by name either, especially for their personal business outside of work. Thanks for playing, "Amanda".
(2) - Brittany Wiggins. Funny, I was at that birthday party just to watch as a guest. I enjoy watching first time flyers on my time off. The kids there were all having fun, were running around playing, and there was left over food.. She was simply annoyed that she couldn't pull a fast one on the employees.. 9 addition kids don't just "show up".. that's ridiculous.. and while the iFLY could have turned the 9 kids away, they offered to let them fly.. which is unusual since they block time by the minute and accommodating 18 extra minutes is rarely possible... You pay for the time in the tunnel.. How on Earth would anyone think 9 additional people could simply get in for free? That's not how it works.. at all.. And threatening staff by "writing a bad review" unless you get your way is pretty low. The kids have a GREAT time and absolutely left with good memories. The only person who was nasty was Brittany.. Pretty sad. Sorry you had to pay for a service. Maybe you can scam someone else or find free time elsewhere.. but good...
Read moreI've been doing the indoor skydiving thing for a while now and this iFly is still my favorite. This does not mean the other ones are bad. I have flown in a lot of the other locations and have always managed to have a good time and have a good instructor.. Everyone here is friendly, energetic, and always getting me to learn new things. They facility is well maintained and always looks clean. It is conveniently located next to a parking garage and lots of places to eat when you are done. I have watched a lot of people do it so I know it is not for everyone, but I still say you should at least give it a shot. You can even be scared of heights as you don"t go high your first time in. Just let your instructor know and they'll accomodate you. Its all about relaxing and finding a good neutral positon where you are basically just floating in the air. If you're not sure if you'll like it, just try it for the basic intro flight. If you wind up liking it, be sure to grab a return voucher. They are always discounted and never expire. I used one that was 5 years old without any problems. I always have a good time here and look forward to my next visit.

Joe stood out as a fantastic member of the team, especially with the kids. He made a genuine effort to engage with each child, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and excited about the experience. His attention to those who were a bit apprehensive was commendable, as he took the time to ensure he noticed when they were not comfortable and had them stop flying.
The customer service at iFly as a whole was remarkable. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and knowledgeable, ready to assist with any inquiries we had. It’s refreshing to see a team so dedicated to providing a welcoming atmosphere.
Additionally, I was thrilled with how they decorated the place for our party. This alleviated a lot of my concerns, allowing me to focus on celebrating without the added stress of event planning.
