It is a fun place for the kids nonetheless but there is a always something to regret.. after we had dinner the kids wanted to have fun at the carnival aka fun park so we headed there.. we need tickets to get the kids on the rids so I was leaning to get wrist bands instead of just 50 tickets since most of the rides were 8 tickets each round... the person at the ticket booth was somewhat questioning my decision about getting the wrist band now, with only 3 hours to close... I know my kids but my wife and I looked at each other and said oh well, let's get 50 tickets... so we did...
20 mintues in and we only had 3 tickets left, so I told my wife let me go to the same ticket booth and see if I can pay the difference and get the wrist bands... we had already paid $54 for 50 tickets and getting 2 wrist bands for unlimited play until closing time which still made sense for $78+tax...
Of course they said nope, I spoke with the manager and I wish I didn't it was a waste of time and if I needed to play I need to pay again based on what I wanted.. I used up the tickets, if I didn't they might have considered the exchange, I told her we just used them and what's the difference of using tickets and a wrist band its still the same place, they wanted to be difficult so I left it as is and walked away.
Not to mention the games you play to win a stuffy, $5 / round lasting 10 seconds each round, spent $20 for a $1 Stuffy... stay away...
Takeaway from this, get the wrist band you won't...
Read moreSo we went in about 9:00 at night. And I get in line to buy tickets and the lady tells me that basically it's $40 for my 9-year-old grandchild to get a wristband. So I said okay after I buy it keyword here is after I purchase it. Then they tell me we close at 10:00. So now I know she just has an hour to use this wristband because they have a sign that clearly says no refunds for anything. So now we go and we're looking at the rides two of the main rides were shut down and we were told they were broke. Two of the rides we wanted her to ride they said she was too tall for. So she ended up writing a few rides. I will say that the man that runs the bumper cars was amazing. He was very nice and he made up for all the other lackluster stuff that's going on. You can buy individual tickets to buy the rides but even that you're going to pay about like $8 to $7 something like that for every ride. As an adult if you're into the ferris wheel with the view I think then that ride might be worth it. But I think that if I was to do it again I definitely find something better to do with the money for my kids I'd rather spend it at the arcade or take them into the candy shop or something. Oh I need to also mention that sometimes you had to wait in line for the kitty rights because one person was operating two rides at once. Definitely I would not go back. There's plenty to do on the boardwalk that doesn't feel like you're getting ripped...
Read moreWhen I stayed at the breakers hotel just across the street I wanted to see what the Ferris wheel and fun park was. When I got there the entrance was very confusing. I thought we had to pay to get in so we stayed outside of the park for like ten minutes and just walked in. some of the random shops outside of the park I thought was apart of the park and had to pay with tickets for some reason. There were some random games that took like 6 dollars to play!! I was like that is expensive and still was. I went to go a buy some tickets and they are very expensive. 1.11 cents to buy one! one ticket! I bought 17 tickets for like almost 20 dollars. I went to ride the gravitron which was like a 7 minute wait. when I got on the ride was confusing. when it started going I got a headache and I thought I broke a bone or something. I was very crowded and small and I could barely walk. The drop tower was very short and small and I do not recommend riding it. The Ferris wheel was fine and went around quite a few times. If you want family, thrill, and an exceptionally themed beach park than just drive a few miles to Busch gardens. Even though Busch gardens is pricey you can go to their other parks and get more thrill and fun...
