While the arcade doesn't have absolutely everything that some of the larger places like Dave & Busters or Round 1 has, Flipper McCoys has enough to keep almost everyone entertained. What makes this place stand out is that unlike most arcades, it's actually fairly well lit - making it a great place for families to unwind and relax after spending a few hours on the beach. No worries about losing your kids in a dark arcade!
They're always adding new things as well, which I love. They recently added a laser tag arena as well as a bowling game and a Willy Wonka coin pusher. I'm not a laser tag person, so I don't know anything about the size or anything about the arena, but the other two new games are awesome. When I was playing the coin pusher I actually had someone watch me play because it's such a fun little game! Sure, it can be a pain to find parking around the beach but it's worth it.
Between this and the Dave and Busters, I'd be gaming every day if I could afford it. Heaven help me if they ever open a Round 1 in driveable distance, I'd...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen around forever, always a good time. Still have a good selection of 80's and pinball games. Everything else is mostly ticket games though. Just like everywhere else, can get like a pencil for 500 tickets. Claw games are set up that they couldn't hold a flea, but it is what it is. Dropped about $100 for the kids to play laser tag and the whole family to play games. Staff was pretty helpful, until there was an issue about how to turn in cards/coins for tickets. Told us how to do it, we do it as he explained, doesn't work and then we're out 2000 tickets. Talked down to us like and was unhelpful. Was like tough luck. After a few choice words and getting pretty pissed, was he willing to help. He doesn't disparag my feelings about the place, should have just been a little more helpful. Fun place over, good place for some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been going to this staple of the āstripā (oceanfront) arcade since I was very young, a lot as a teen, and now bring my own kids. Itās always a great time for us all. Recently visited with my brother who was visiting home from California. We had a blast. And we spent about $30-$35 and played stuff about an hour and a half. Plus took a neat photo booth pic $7 (for 3 pics with different poses). Our two favorites were the rubber axe šŖ toss game, I beat him šand the Jurassic World VR gameš¦ (little pricey $6/person, 2 can go at a time together) but was worth it! The shooting game (red laser sensors) has been there for decadeās and I still smile like a kid every time I play it and make the rocking chair man rock The day time managerās pretty cool š too. Itās a must-do experience for locals and tourists alike. Happy...
