It’s been an awful experience getting my prescriptions from Tallman’s the last three months. They’ve been extremely unreliable and, frankly, unprofessional. I really don’t like to give 1-star reviews in a small town like WW but after being a customer for only 3 months and having such a consistently poor experience, I feel it’s necessary to give feedback:
They lost my prescription after confirming on the phone that it would be filled. I called back 5 days later and they had no record of a fill request being submitted.
Instead of a 30 day fill at regular dosage that I requested, I was given a 16 day fill at half dosage, so effectively an 8 day supply. Only discovered this once I got home.
Holidays and hours are not updated on their telephone answering machine or their website so I have no idea which days they’ll be closed unless I happen to call on a day and time that they’re open… and they actually pick up the phone.
They closed for some period over the holidays without notifying text-message-subscribed customers in advance. For a schedule 2 scrip I called multiple times on days leading up to NYE during business hours and got the answering machine every time. This caused my daily-dosed non-transferable schedule 2 prescription on file to expire. This has created a major problem for me as I am still scrambling to get a new one ASAP but have to make do with zero medication in the meantime. I will additionally have to pay $500+ out of pocket (instead of having it fully covered by 2023 insurance) whenever I can even get a new scrip since the new year means new insurance deductible.
I have tried for months to support this local small business but the standard of service has been completely unacceptable. It goes without saying that some medications are vital to people — access to it simply cannot be provided/administered this carelessly.
I will now be [reluctantly] taking my business to a large chain drug store instead. I hope Tallman’s will do better in future for its...
Read morePlease do better! Amazing, caring compassionate staff before you made Tallman's a reliable and affordable pharmacy. Now, you are honestly worse than a big box chain store. It's not like you have touristy souvenirs or specialty soaps, you have life-dependent medications patients need, even on weekends!
It's sad to write a negative review for this small business that used to exceed expectations. Now phones go unanswered, other pharmacies sigh when told they need to call you to transfer prescriptions because they are busy too and still manage to get medications filled. Texts go un-replied to and you are literally holding our required prescriptions hostage over weekends and OUR lunch hours because you do not have enough pharmacists. I saw your laundry list of excuses to another reviewer and while your patrons want to empathize, we need our medications, not excuses.
Your pharmacy had an excellent reputation and much needed home delivery service for some of the most in-need patients. Other pharmacies are handling area pharmacy closures and your issues didn't start because of that. Your limited hours for the holidays have extended into late April! We all see the writing on the wall. Staff will be your largest overhead, but if you don't have enough, you will not catch up.
I want to support you and transfer my medications back, but I NEED my prescribed medications. I hate to see you continue to decline because you lose patrons and then have to cut staff. A vicious cycle that will benefit no one. Hire a locums pharmacist or two and get your customers back so you can keep the doors open and Walla Walla can proudly support the Tallman's we have loved...
Read moreI have been coming and going from this pharmacy for five years and the only reason for going is because of customer service. I have been in customers service for over 20 years so trust me when I say I get it. But when all you get is rude judgemental vibes from the same female pharmacy tech it starts to feel extremely hurtful, disrespectful and down right wrong. So I would give 5 starts but sadly I had to take one away since I'm not fond of crying every single time this female tech answers the phone. And since I get paid to give my reviews, I just couldn't keep my mouth shut about this one. I have 3 more weeks of dealing with the pharmacy in general but to the female pharmacy tech who has nothing but horrible customer service skills, maybe you shouldn't answer the phone or speak with the public anymore. Just saying. If you can't be nice, calm, and realize how you sound or treat people just stay in the back or lose more...
