Female store manager told me that I could not return my items I just purchased days before because the tags were not on the items. Which I can understand if thats the return policy.. (no argument there) however the return policy states that you can return without tags as long as it is not final sale or without a receipt.. which I had. She not only told me that she “couldn’t do anything for me” but she also told me when I asked if this was the return policy here..stated that it was the return policy to not accept clothes without tags. I called customer service, along with the nearest Urban Outfitters and they reassured me that it was not in the return policy to not accept. So I went back into the store and asked to speak to a manger and talked to the assistant who again reassured me that I can return my clothing. I have not worn the items but simply thought I was going to keep them and soon realized there was nothing in my wardrobe to match.. common mistake among many im sure. I re- explained the policy to her to which she said she doesn’t do this and that that was not the policy and will only do it this one time. Her attitude was un-kind and gave the impression as if she didn’t want me shopping their to begin with, this experience has salted my attitude towards this store.. Definitely lost a customer...
Read moreI just got hung up on 5 times by an employee at this store, while I was trying to find out holiday hours for this Labor day weekend. Fortunately I got "Chiristian" the store manager to answer the 6th time to let me know what the hours were. The original employee did not open with "Hi this is _ you've reached Urban Outfitters how can I help you", like "Christian" did, so I could not get her name. My daughter loves this store but I loath coming in. I'm really thinking that this particular establishment in Georgetown has the worst behaved staff. Every time we go in there, there is always some personal drama on display for customers to view. Cooperate should really get involved or close down this store and open somewhere with convenient parking like across the Potomac in Arlington, VA. Buyers BEWARE, just go to another Urban Outfitters if you can, the customer service here is piss poor. I personally like the one in Baltimore but it is too far out for day to day purchases. Most times my daughter buys online to avoid going in to this...
Read moreI spend a lot of hard earned money at Urban Outfitters. I shop at the Georgetown and Chinatown locations; however, I will never shop at the Georgetown location again. I decided to wear a shirt, jacket, and a beanie that I bought online to the store. That was a mistake! The guy stopped me at the door and accused me of stealing the beanie. Are you serious??? He told me that I didn't have that beanie on when I came into the store. I was so embarrassed, and angry at the same time. I am a frequent shopper, clearly I have on even underwear I purchased there. I decided to play it calm and tell the guy that I will gladly show him my email receipt for the beanie purchase. He said that he wanted to see it. So I showed it to him and he said ok thanks. I really wanted to speak to a manager, and also I thought about asking him to show proof that I stole it, but I was so humiliated that I decided to walk out and spend my hard earned money at the Diesel and Dr Marten store. I was clearly stereo typed,...
