Facial Microdermabrasion was not worth it, results were average at best. I paid a discounted price of $90, but original price of $160 is alarming!
In terms of a Facial, there were a few of the normal steps (cleansing, scrub, mask, moisturize, sunscreen with arm massage) but there were barely any extractions and typical pricey facial treatments that are part of the process. She chose not to use steam on me, for some reason, and I obliged. Further, the electrical wand treatment promised at the end didn't even happen. No eye cream, no lip treatment, not much customization, no focus on my specific concern expressed in the beginning, she relied on one product that clearly did the heavy lifting as a mini-peel. It was OK, nothing you can't do at home easily with the right products. In terms of Microdermabrasion, she barely went over my entire face even once, did not focus on areas with fine lines and wrinkles, and neglected the neck and decollete all together. In fact, even during the facial, she didn't even go below the chin at all. The microderm part was maybe 2 minutes. It was not a microdermabrasion treatment! In terms of products, they use high and low items, I would hope for the price they charge, they have the best quality products For being located in Georgetown and charging a premium price for full services, I am surprised some reviews for the skincare treatments are even above 3 stars. I have been to many places, and will not be returning to this spa for any...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the absolute worst massage I have ever had in my life. It was sheer torture. The masseuse was not experienced and there were several times where I just wanted to get up and leave after letting her know several times it was to rough. I should have known when I booked and the staff told me not to forget cash for the tip. I asked for the lavender massage and there was not a drop of lavender in the oil. When I mentioned it to the woman at the front desk she insisted the oil was infused and was down right so rude I had to tel her about her attitude.
I have had the most amazing massages in luxury hotels in Cairo and high end spas in Dubai and this was awful. I was also trained in Thai massage in Thailand so I am well aware of what to expect. I never ever right bad reviews but this was just unacceptable. Still have $165 left on my certificate but I will have to think hard about giving this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didn't get a chance to get any services provided to me by Qi Spa because every time I tried to schedule an appointment there was an issue. I purchased a Groupon deal to get a Brazilian wax done. I attempted three different times to make an appointment with no success. It appears they have certain appointment times blocked off for Groupon deals and those times are primarily during the day. I have a full time job and I do not wish to use my leave to get waxed. I was really turned off by how nasty the people were over the phone when I tried to make appointments. Also on the Groupon it does not tell you there are certain days you can use the deal. To shorten this long story I ended up contacting Groupon and getting my money back. Anyone who is thinking about purchasing a Groupon for this place please...
