Js Ocean Fish Market — Attraction in Waterbury

I came in looking for fillets of catfish to have cut into cubes for my catfish nuggets. No filets available. The man behind the counter lacked customer service skills. Ok. I asked if the whole fish could be cleaned and cut into cubes. The man said he didn't know how to do that he could only fillet the fish. So i asked him to go ahead and cut it as he knows how. He did not clean nor filet the fish. This man chopped up the whole fish to give to me. Needless to say I didn't get any fish. I'll give back to NYC to stick up on fish cause no fish market in waterbury sells fillet cuts They're robbing you of your money paying for a whole fishbefore cutting...

Have lodged a complaint to Better Business Bureau and to the Dept of Health against this store. We bought crabs that cannot be eaten after cooking (steaming) them because the crabs had a bad ammonia smell. We believe the tanks where the crabs were placed were not properly cleaned and sanitized. The tanks ammonia levels are not being monitored. We brought the cooked crabs back to the store and the owner refused to refund us and even insulted us by saying that some people are just stupid. I am not going back to this store ever again. Seafood stored in this store's tanks pose a health risk to people...

I just came from this place D & Y Ocean. They gave me rotten fish. Very DISGUSTING! I called and explained that they served me rotten fish and the owner was very rude and hung up on me twice.
