An Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I generally prefer to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but my experience at this nail salon was so disheartening and unprofessional that I feel compelled to share in full detail, both as a warning to others and in the hope that the management will take steps to improve their service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and seated promptly for a gel pedicure and a full acrylic set with custom nail art. Things started off promisingly. I showed the nail artist a design photo for reference and asked her—three separate times—if she felt confident replicating the look. Each time, she assured me that she could execute it without issue. I even emphasized that if it seemed too complex, I had several alternative designs that were more straightforward. She insisted it wouldn’t be a problem, so I trusted her professional judgment. However, as the appointment progressed, I began to feel increasingly uncomfortable. Throughout my pedicure, the technician working on my feet and the nail artist assigned to my hands kept speaking to each other in another language while frequently glancing at me. Their tone and demeanor made it clear they were discussing me, and the lack of transparency felt not only unprofessional but also quite disrespectful. It put me on edge for the remainder of the service. After the pedicure was completed, I was moved to a table to continue with the full set. As soon as I saw the final result, I was extremely disappointed. The quality was nowhere near what I had shown in the reference image. The design lacked precision, the shape of the nails was uneven, and the finish looked rushed and careless. Despite this, the nail artist simply asked me to wash my hands, never inquired whether I liked the results, and then packed up her tools and moved on without a word. I went to the front to pay and was shocked to find out the total was $184—the most I have ever paid for a nail service. Despite my dissatisfaction, I paid and walked to my car. But as I sat there processing everything, I realized I simply couldn’t leave with nails that looked and felt this bad. I went back inside and explained to the receptionist that I was extremely unhappy with the outcome and requested that the set be redone or at least corrected. The receptionist seemed confused and unbothered, even after I showed her the drastic difference between the inspiration photo and what I received. Eventually, I was led to a different technician who appeared unsure of how to even remove the original acrylics. I had to guide her myself, suggesting that drilling would likely be the most efficient removal method. Wanting to minimize the hassle, I asked for something much simpler this time—just to keep the base and apply a chrome finish with a rhinestone accent. Even this second attempt was poorly executed. The chrome was uneven, the rhinestone placement looked rushed, and my nails still didn’t reflect the quality I expected for such a high price. Not once during the correction process did anyone ask if I was satisfied or offer an apology. No one acknowledged the poor service or suggested a partial refund, despite the fact that I paid for a detailed, custom-designed full set and left with a rushed, subpar fix. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. This was by far the worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had—not just because of the poor quality of work, but because of how little the staff seemed to care about the client’s experience or satisfaction. I will never return, and I strongly urge others to proceed with caution. Below I’ve included the inspo picture vs. what they actually did. I also included the 2nd attempt to fix my nails.

On February 29, I visited this location for nail service which I brought my own nail polish (Chanel Polish). Vivian was my nail Technician. It started off ok, until I paid before my service was complete, per my technician. Once I paid, she then informed me that she had to pick up her son and began to rush the service. Being that it was a regular nail polish it took longer to dry, therefore, I was unable to detect the length of my nails and move my hands around to see if I liked the length and overall finishing. Once they were dry, I noticed that they were too long and I wanted them cut, but the nail tech had already left. Fast forward to today, I went back to get them cut down because I was not happy with the length . Once I was there and notified the receptionist (didn’t get her name but she had blonde highlights) that I was here last night and just want to get my nails cut down she informed me that she would have to charge $10. Then she informed that I would have to wait for the same nail tech and that would take 20 minutes. After waiting 20 plus minutes, I was now with Vivian. The nasty receptionist approach me with an attitude and stated that they would now have to charge to repaint my nails, which wasn’t what I asked for. At this time , Vivian was with now attitude too. She started to be aggressive with the way she was handling my hands and slinging them as she worked on them. Finally, she cut them down and then said “done!” I sat there for a moment and examined my nails. She walked off in a rude way. They were crooked and uneven. I asked her to fix and she stated it will mess up if she files too much which I know they wouldn’t because a couple of the nails turned out just fine. The nail tech did not want to fix nails because of her pride. I never came into the salon with a bad attitude or negativity. I loved the color of my nails (the Chanel nail polish was a gift and I was excited to use), I paid good money for the service and tipped for a service I should be happy with. I simply wanted a nice cut down/file. The nail salon menu states satisfaction guaranteed within a week, so for it not to have been a full 24 hours and I was treated this way was unacceptable! I would like to speak to actual management and not people pretending to be in charge. This was my first time back in a couple years. The customer service and management was never the horrible and unprofessional.

Awesome service WE totally LOVE Lindsey, Susan, Daisy and Sandy. My favorite spot in Waxahachie. Update: I no longer will support this establishment because of the poor customer service of the owner. I have been here 3 times (Once in June with hubby pedis only- $150; Brought my MIL for her bday on July 7- $320; July 24 for my Anniversary mani/pedi -$125) and the techs are great but on July 24 I brought my bff for the experience. She (purple nails in pic) requested dip mani and pedi with matching polish. On day three, both hands were chipped and peeling off. She dropped by on Thursday(3 days after to talk to the owner about a resolution) he was receptive and agreed to fix once she returned and also gave her a 20% off coupon for future service. She returned today to get them fixed as she confirmed with the owner yesterday and he treated her as if she was criminal. I have never heard of dip chipping in less than 5 days because it is supposed to last longer than gel. He refused to fix the problem, requested payment for removing the cracked dip from her nails and requested the 20% coupon be returned. Unfortunately, I cannot support an establishment who cannot take responsibility for their failures. I am constant with self-care for myself, daughter and granddaughters but we will not patronize Resort Nail Salon ever again! A completely costly loss for your techs.

An Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience

I generally prefer to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but my experience at this nail salon was so disheartening and unprofessional that I feel compelled to share in full detail, both as a warning to others and in the hope that the management will take steps to improve their service.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and seated promptly for a gel pedicure and a full acrylic set with custom nail art. Things started off promisingly. I requested the top of the line $85 CBD pedicure, per the recommendation of two staff members. Before receiving service, I advised that I had two acrylic tips on my two big toes that were in need of maintenance. The sum total for the manicure and costly add on’s was $125. I consented to the price and happily took my seat at my assigned manicure chair. The service initially began well, until the first woman servicing me abruptly got up without any explanation. The young woman at the reception counter soon approached, the two women exchanged words in their native language and I was told that someone else would assist me. I sat idle soaking in lukewarm water for approximately 30 minutes before anyone else showed up. The second woman that appeared (to repair my acrylic tips) was rude and aggressive. She held my toe so tightly that it pierced my skin. Once completed, she asked if “it was okay”. I reached down to examine her work and she slapped my hand out of the way and yelled “it’s wet!”. I am not a novice at receiving pedicure services. I was well aware of this. It’s so unfortunate that this is the poor treatment that we are now subjected to in order to receive “decent” service. It is my belief that to some degree, we are all being unknowingly insulted at most nail salons, but unwanted touch has taken things too far. I recall when their disparaging remarks used to be done more discreetly, but on 8/13/23 at approximately 4:05 hours, it was clear that the snide commentary and glaring looks were in fact towards me. I could see if I’d done something to warrant the behavior, but I did no such thing. To make matters even more uncomfortable, two other women, (one standing beside me, the other working at the station next to me) joined in also and laughed loudly at “jokes” told at my expense. At one point there was a crowd of three surrounding me, engaging in a conversation that I clearly was not invited to join. I should have ended my service at that precise moment and exited the premises, but I did not. I had to see if they had the decency to correct their behavior and give at least their services the benefit of a doubt. Alas, a third woman, (one of the cackling spectators), completed my pedicure. To my shockingly surprise, she was nearly mute the entire duration of my service. There was no such small talk or greeting as she’d offer the other patrons. While applying the white polish for the French tip, she asked, “is it okay?”. It was not. I provided instructions on how I wanted the line to be thinned out more and she argued that the line where the acrylic was applied would show. I was asked a very specific question, to which I replied kindly and very specifically. Your opinion is valuable, but as a paying customer please only render the service(s) that I ask for. She finally responded, “whatever you want. Why was this so hard? I will never patronize this establishment again. The only kind thing that I have to share in regards to Resort Nail Salon is that the aesthetics are lovely, but the customer service is lacking! To conclude this matter, if the presumed joke aforementioned was in fact regarding my feet, to the owner I wish to say: I would have you and your condescending staff members know, these feet once wore combat boots that paid the cost to protect YOUR freedom! I am not ashamed of the sacrifices, nor choices I have selflessly made for YOUR indulgences and convenient pleasures. I leave you with this review in hopes that it will encourage your team to actively show kindness, consideration AND PROFESSIONALISM to EVERY stranger they...

When I entered the establishment, I was warmly greeted by the owner, a sweet woman who reminded me of my grandmother. Her kindness felt genuine. I described the services I wanted—a pedicure, gel manicure, and a simple eyebrow cleanup—and mentioned that I had been referred, specifically requesting either Tim or Aleena.

Vivian did my eyebrows, but unfortunately, it did not go well. Despite my explanation, she didn’t seem skilled at shaping brows. When I pointed out the issue, she became defensive and tried to fix them but only made things worse. Frustratingly, she left mid-session. Thankfully, Jessica came in with a gentle demeanor and managed to correct the situation, which I really appreciated.

However, the rest of the experience was disappointing. When Tim arrived for my manicure, he rudely informed me that he doesn’t do pedicures, making it seem like I should’ve already known. I understood that he only handles manicures, but his tone and attitude were completely unnecessary. There was another tech available for my pedicure, but I’m particular about who handles my mani and pedi. I then asked the owner if Aleena was available, but she said no, and walked away without addressing the situation.

I asked Tim if he could recommend a good tech for my pedicure, but again, he was extremely rude, saying it wasn’t his responsibility to recommend anyone and that I should ask the owner.

At this point, I was disappointed. While Jessica’s kindness and ability to fix my brows were highlights of my visit, the rest of the experience fell short of my expectations. The owner didn’t acknowledge my concerns, and a gentleman checked me out without addressing my disappointment. Sadly, I won’t be returning to the salon, despite hoping to become a regular customer.

Update: per the response from Resort nail team.. Upon entering the establishment, the owner assured me that either Alana (Aleena) or Tim would handle my nail and pedicure services. However, she failed to inform me that Tim doesn’t do pedicures, which led to confusion when he approached me for assistance. When I asked about Alana (Aleena—not sure of the spelling), the owner ignored me, as though I was being difficult. If she had clarified these details at the service desk while I was filling out the service request form, this entire situation could have been avoided.

I specifically requested Tim and Alana (Aleena) for my manicure and pedicure. If Tim was only available for nails and not pedicures, or if Alana was fully booked, the owner should have informed me upfront, allowing me to decide whether to proceed. Instead, she misled me by sending a different technician, assuming I wouldn’t question if she was Alana.

Moreover, Tim’s attitude was unprofessional and rude, which only added to the disappointing experience. This lack of transparency and professionalism from the staff left me extremely dissatisfied with...
