Today my mom, daughter and I went to Nordstrom Rack (Bay Area). The loss prevention man (a Caucasian man wearing a gray hat) followed my mom ( a five year breast cancer survivor) around the store as if she was stealing maybe because she had on N95 mask (IDK). My mom asked the loss prevention guy if he needed something. He answered no but continued to follow her around the store. As we stood in line to check out he never gave us eye contact but watched us walk to the store new door. After leaving from the store next door. He watched us load into my car and took a picture of my license plate while I drove off as if we were stealing. I immediately went back into the store to return the items that I purchased. I asked for a manger, the manager was on break. A girl name Shelby/ Shelly took my complaint also apologized for his actions. When I asked his name she said she could not give it for his safety. What about OUR safety WE did NOTHING. I will NEVER shop at NORDSTROM RACK again. The items are over priced and the loss prevention guy sucks at his job. He should probably find another job because his intuition sucks. Stealing from there will not get them closed down the high dollar price items will be the reason for the store closing if anything. One thing I know for sure is thieves do not have a look. Stealing makes you a thief not because Loss prevention thinks you are stealing . One question , what will he do with the picture he took of my license plate? Loss prevention should follow his mom around the store and not play with mine sheâs retired and do not have to steal. I walked in and was greeted by an employee and I said hi back, and was going to ask where to pickup orders and as Iâm talking, another employee/manager walks up to her and started talking over me so I just walked away. The employee who said hi was looking back at me before I walked away like she wanted to help but had to listen to this other employee. Another time I came in to make a return on an item I ordered online that didnât have tags. The employee asked if it had a tag and I said no. She was snickering and handed the item to another employee saying that it didnât have tags and told them to go put it somewhere else. So rude and unprofessional. I walked up to the counter kind of awkwardly because I wasn't sure if she was ready, and she said "give me a second", I nervously apologized and was given a "mhm" and then her continuing with her task and about a minute later she says, "okay I am ready now", with a very monotoned voice. not a super big deal, but throughout the time of my mom and I checking out she just seemed like she could care less about what she was doing and was conversing with her coworkers.
