Hello, We made a reservation for 4:00 but was seated 25 to 30 minutes later. Understandable. Places get busy. But but a reservation is that the table is already reserved for that time. We were seated, party of 8. Our waitress, Rylee, never introduced herself but took our drink orders, two of which were with alcohol. I ordered the Swampthing, which is frozen. My daughter ordered a drink and she asked if it was frozen like the Swampthing. Rylee replied "Yes." I told Rylee that I wanted my drink, the Swampthing, to come out with my meal. We received our beverages and my daughter got her drink. Two minutes later, my daughter stopped Rylee to let her know that it wasn't frozen but it was on ice. Rylee said that it was the way it comes. But Rylee initially said that it would be frozen. Five minutes later, I told my daughter to stop the gentleman that just came from the bar empty-handed. She asked him about the drink and was told that what she had was not frozen. My daughter decided to keep the drink because she thought it was frozen on the bottom but it was just a lot of condensation. We waited over another 15 to 20 minutes for our order to get taken. The reason is that the gentleman we stop to ask about my daughter's drink was now serving us. Rylee took it upon herself not to serve our table and now Dylan was our server! That is sad that someone could not ask another server about a drink. Rylee is in the wrong profession. That was very improfessional of her! Especially having us waiting over 20 minutes for our order to get taken! My family was there to celebrate 2 birthdays, me and my daughter. Dylan ended up taking all of our orders and served them. I then noticed that I didn't get my drink. I then stopped Rylee to ask about my drink, the Swampthing. She told me that she would let my server know. I told her that she was the one that initially took the order. Rylee said that she would put it in. I want this organization to know that Dyan did a great job in serving us and he was greatly compensated. I wish he could have received the full tip I put on my card because he truly deserved it all!
Rylee could use more training in customer service and work ethic. She didn't even bring us warm bread, but we ate it. My favorite place to eat and she provided the worst service my family and I ever received!
Thank you again Dylan for providing top notch customer service and making our birthdays special!!...
Read moreWe typically come here once or twice a month, but the service has gone down progressively over time. Yesterday we were here for my mother in law's birthday, and they tried their best to ruin it. They made us wait longer than everyone else around us for a table for 10, which is literally 2 medium tables pushed together. We called in for a reservation and were told 15 minutes, which turned into an hour. Once we were seated, the service was slow, as we had 1 server named Patrick, who we had to keep asking for refills, condiments, etc. Prior to receiving our meal, a random server started cleaning the table and took my clean fork and my glass. I asked for my fork back and noticed my glass was gone while I was eating and had nothing to drink. Patrick brought everyone refills and didn't even question where my glass went. He mixed up 2 of our tickets when ringing them up, which caused us to wait another 20 minutes for it to be corrected. He apologized, saying it wasn't his best service that day. Lucky us, while we're celebrating what should have been a happy occasion. Meanwhile at another table, they started sweeping before a couple sat down, because the man said the floor was dirty. Apparently they cater to some and not others when delivering good service. 3 people in our party had to ask for a to-go container so 1 person in our party could leave with his food to go to work. The manager was one of the people we asked, but she never brought one either. She never asked if we were doing ok at our table, just started sweeping on the side of us. This is no longer the 5 star restaurant it used to be, and Pappasito's is going down with them as well. 3rd occasion 01/19/25: If our out of town family didn't want to come here I certainly wouldn't recommend it, after the young lady at the hostess stand with braces and braids agressively told me the online reservation is useless and the wait would no longer be 20-25 minutes as it said online, but instead 40 minutes. Then I received a text saying my time was updated to 50 minutes. My husband walked around and saw a table that would seat us all and at that time we were promptly seated. Very ugly treatment! Also I have to say...that seafood stew is not gumbo, real gumbo makers do not use...
Read moreFinally ,finally , I found a place that cooks hot food. Food so hot the waitress had to put it back on the tray when she tried to pick it up. Thank you Lord. There were a lot of seafood selections and the fried chicken tenders are lightly breaded and delicious. The fish is fresh everyday the shrimp were jumbo and tastey. The food overall are not seasoned too much just lightly seasoned taste fresh and the platter came with a load of French fries that are lightly seasoned. The atmosphere was nice , noisy the waitress was great and worked hard to make sure everything was great. She even remembered things we forgot to get. There was a problem with the temperature in the restaurant it was pretty humid and uncomfortable, like they turned off the air conditioning and used fans. They need to turn the ac cooler for the customers confort. Another problem is the price very pricey especially the chef choice with the expensive seafood but the taste is great the white wine sauce is superb. The food can run from the 20's to 30's and higher for seafood and pricey fish meals. Ask for bread and butter when waiting for your your food. You can replace oysters or scallops with more shrimp and vice versa. If it is your birthday you can get a desert for free ,but no birthday song ,but the the piece of cake or pie is very big. All in all a good restaurant with tastey fresh from the scratch hot food and great service for a high price but worth it to me. I have found my new...
