I've had LA Fitness for years now, Ive visited many locations and this one seems to be one of my favorites. The women's locker room is always clean and presentable, shoutout to the cleaning lady I always see her cleaning! However, now that I have a son, about to be two now, I decided to enroll him in the kids club. I always try to have an open communication with the girls working in the kids club because at times it can be hectic with so many little ones and it just being one of them can be overwhelming. But even then, I've never experienced any complaints about my son nor did I ever see any of the staff being visibly frustrated towards my son! Until one Friday evening, after dropping him off to work out, I noticed that the lady working that night I've never seen before. So in cases like these, I like to introduce my son and let them know that he's very active and does not yet speak but she seemed uninterested of what I had to say to her. Ten minutes after, she calls me saying my son is coughing (he normally coughs when he's running a lot, so he needs some water at this point) then she proceeds to say he's hitting the kids and then I hear her screaming to him through the phone. I rushed to go get him, and as I get there she has him sitting on the floor while he's crying hysterically and she making faces at him. Another mom was there, and she was expressing how that lady working there always tells her to pick up her son in an hour and seems like she doesn't want to be having any kids. Minutes after, all the kids were picked up, to me it seemed like she did not want to work and it was obvious that she does not have the patience especially with toddlers. I called the next morning to speak with a manager, they told me manager was out until Monday. I called Monday, they said manager was busy (in a meeting) to take the call, even though I had expressed that I had a complaint about the kids club, I was told that she would call me back. I never received a call back, I had to be calling and calling until three days later I was able to get a hold of the sales manager, he expressed that there should always be a manager on duty! & the woman working that evening was covering a shift! which made sense to me since I've never seen her before, but im sure she's covered previous shifts since the other mom knew about her. I did not feel like my son was safe under her supervision! I was not given her name, but the other two younger ladies that work the kids club are amazing, however not everyone deserves to be working...

For more that I love this very convenient location, the cleanliness of this place really needs improvement. Sad part is these pictures werenāt even taken during peak hours, they were taken early in the morning when youād expect them to have cleaned at closing or opening. Truth is were in the middle of a pandemic and I seen gyms charging way less being more careful and proactive to keep the space free of germs. Other cheaper gyms like crunch have wet wipes everywhere and one or two people at all times constantly cleaning the machines, I never see staff cleaning and Iāve looked around several times, only saw them cleaning the sauna and vacuuming the racket all rooms, also the pictures were taken on different days so itās not that it was just a bad day, and it was very frustrating to choose one machine without feeling disgusted and if you talk to staff at this location they make you feel so uncomfortable as if youāre just being a Karen. Honestly for the price they charge I think they could be more on top of the places hygiene. I know theyāll probably look up my name on the system and maddog me next time I walk in but sorry somebody had to say it. Please be better! Also they guys at the front charge way too much and they just care about making their commission...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen i first signed on, i was explicitly told that id be paying for the one and only specific location that i was getting a membership at. I asked them 3 separate times if that was the only location i could go to and they said yes.
Some time later, i wasnt able to go to the gym for 3 months because of extremely heavy school and work load, and recently when i tried to go to the gym to cancel my membership, the entire location was closed with even the sign gone. It was an absolute ghost town, so ive basically been paying for absolutely nothing for god knows how long. I got in contact with la fitness staff (im assuming from this location) and although they were nice, i was told that they kept charging me because i was paying for multi gym pass or whatever despite me being under the complete impression that i was paying for that one location BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME ID BE PAYING FOR THAT ONE AND ONLY LOCATION. Im honestly not surprised they closed, half the equipment was busted, people loitered around on the machines, it wasnt very clean, etc.
