C’zar Salon Spa - Wheaton — Attraction in Wheaton

Establishment - Super clean and well-maintained. Their social distancing procedures were strict and highly appreciated. They had me complete a health screening survey before my appointment (it was sent to me online at the time of booking). The front doors were kept closed and locked to the public and were only opened for those who had appointments. My temperature was taken as soon as I walked through the door, and they had face masks available for free to customers if they had brought none of their own. Stylists and customers were all required to keep face masks on, even during hair washes, cuts, and coloring. Printed signs were posted everywhere to remind staff and patrons about social distancing guidelines. Styling chairs were used at 6-ft intervals. There was a plexiglass barrier at the front counter to protect customers and cashiers.

Stylist - Karina cut and colored my hair and she was very easy-going and friendly! She was super attentive to detail during the whole process and worked really well with me. I went from mousy brown to light blonde with a super-short pixie cut. She always checked to make sure I was comfortable during bleaching (since bleach can cause scalp irritation) and was happy to answer any questions I had during the process. She also explained blonde-hair aftercare/toning to me so I knew how to keep my shade of blonde perfect in the weeks to come. She made sure I was satisfied with the end result before I left. I trust her with my hair and will keep going back to her!

The only "meh" thing I can say is that it was a bit pricey to get my hair done here, but that's to be expected when you choose to go to a higher-end salon/spa establishment such as this. Higher quality, higher price! So it's not "meh" so much as "well that makes sense" haha.

Disappointing Experience at C'zar Salon Spa

I had high hopes for my appointment at C'zar Salon Spa, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Despite encountering a genuine emergency that prevented me from making my scheduled appointment, the salon insisted on charging me a hefty fee. Feeling pressured, I made an effort to visit the salon, only to be met with further disappointment.

Upon arrival, I was informed that the specialist I had requested was unavailable due to another appointment, leaving me with limited options for treatment. After much pleading, I reluctantly agreed to a basic service, which unfortunately did not meet the standards I had anticipated.

Throughout the appointment, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was not being valued as a customer. The atmosphere lacked warmth, and the specialist's demeanor left much to be desired. Moreover, the service provided did not live up to its promised durability.

I was in need of a massive hair refresh after letting it grow out for the past 8 months after getting colored. Karina was a serious godsend. I am really not that knowledgeable about hair and had only ever gotten it colored one other time before so I had no clue really what I wanted or how to explain it. I did have lots of inspo pictures though so that counts for something, haha! Karina made me feel super comfortable and her amount of knowledge and passion for what she does put my mind right at ease. I knew I was in good hands and boy was I ever! My hair turned out even better than I could’ve imagined.
