Harbor Freight — Attraction in Whitehall

Went to this harbor freight location in whitehall. Purchased a solar security light. After returning home I realized that it had been returned previously and put back on the shelf. Tried to return the item, they told me they cannot accept it as it is used. Obviously they did not check this prior to selling it to me when they took it back the first time. I had to drive 20 minutes to a different store of which they know me well as a business owner who frequents all local harbor freights and home centers/ hardware stores. I am more personally familiar with this store and they had no issue returning it and could not see why with my great track record and long-standing history with their company they would not take back my return. I'm A well-dressed and well to do individual. Not trying to scam anyone but apparently the Whitehall harbor freight location is. They will take your money and sell you returned defective goods. Manager will do nothing about it and blame you. Absolutely despicable business practices and a reason they should not have even put a location in Whitehall if they are not going to trust anyone...

Not Worth the Hassle – very bad Service I recently bought the TITANIUM Easy-Flux 125 Amp Welder from Harbor Freight for $149.99, along with welding wire. The store associate handed me the first machine on the shelf, which seemed fine at the time. However, when I got home and opened the box, it was clear the welder had been previously opened and not properly repackaged. I followed the instructions to try it out, but it didn’t work at all.

I returned to the store within an hour to return the product, only to be told that they would either make me buy a different one or charge me a 20% restocking fee. I wasn’t comfortable trusting another product from them after that experience, so I returned it and paid the fee. I’m sure that welder will end up back on the shelf as a trap for the next customer. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

I have personally spent over 20,000$ at harbor freight over the last year or so not counting the years I’ve been a customer as well as an itc member … today I went to this location as well as Allentown on Broadway inquiring as to whether I could purchase an item and come pick it up the next day, which I have done before . Both stores told me they were unable to do this . Very disappointing considering the amount of $ I spend with this company … guess I’ll start spending a bit more $ elsewhere where they care about loyal customers and help them out a bit .. also doesn’t make sense because what if I had just not said anything and purchased the item then tried to fit it in my car and it didn’t ? We would be in the same situation.. just doesn’t feel right spending so much $ somewhere for them to...
