First time visit, arrived at 10:30AM left at 2:30PM. Breakfast was a brunch buffet (pictured), serving was running late, we were told something was happening with cinnamon rolls. The servers seem to be new or possibly overwhelmed with tables I'm not sure. However getting refills on cocktails was spotty and we never got refills on iced tea. We were not told drink specials of the day however I could hear the server at the tables below us going through the spiel with her customers. I was thankful I could overhear this as she was giving top-not service to them. Even after overhearing the specials, our server seldom came back to the table. The buffet is a one way in, one way out line wrapping around the perimeter of the building. It is not self-serve. You are handed a plate with everything on it. Because the line is one way, it is long. By the time the first people are done eating there is still a line of people waiting to get their first serving. I saw no one going back for seconds. I myself could have skipped all the breads, but I got the impression that it was not an option. The ladies serving were very indifferent to customers. There was definitely a feeling that they were stressed and just slopping food on a paper plate for us. Food was catered in from somewhere, it was served warm but it was by no means hot. Eggs did not taste fresh, but rather maybe a powder or boil in the back option. I noticed the men were getting two sausages a piece, whereas I got one. I'm not sure of the differentiation there.
Once the show actually started it was wonderful. The actors were absolutely phenomenal. We were laughing consistently and incredibly entertained. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit and show of Die Hard the Christmas special. Some of the friends I went with had been there before and commented that this was the best show they had seen. The show itself was five â.
The parking garage is located across the street from the melodrama and there are also several small lots within walking distance.
The dining room was full. People were definitely tightly packed in and it appeared to be sold out.
Beautiful artwork surrounded the dining room. Everything appeared to be clean and neat including the bathroom.
I don't know if only seeing the show is an option, but next time that would be my choice. As the food was...
Read moreThis was my first visit and now I'm wondering how I have not been here before. First the entertainment: The actors are hilarious and interact with the audience will. The script was a nice twist to the classic story. The second part of the show was them all singing songs, which was enjoyable to me because I listen to country but I could see others not enjoying it as much because they didn't know the songs. Now for the food: It is a buffet that is served to you. You will stand in a long line waiting. We had boned chicken, pulled pork, or beef with mashed potatoes, green beans and a salad. Bread was available also. They do serve alcohol and did a great job of serving in a timely manner. I never had an empty glass. Desert is available but not included in the ticket cost. Finally the facility: I can sum it up to one word, crowded! We had a large birthday group that ended up with 2 large tables down front and 4 circle tables behind us. I sat at one of the large tables and it was very difficult to get in and out of my seat. Anyone who is on the large size would be very uncomfortable. They need to pull one chair out for each table and move tables further apart, but they won't because that would lose them money. There is a restroom available. There will most likely be a line to enter and only on box office to get your tickets so it doesn't move fast. Overall it is excellent entertainment for the cost which is listed on their site but we paid 30 per ticket and...
Read moreThe food hasnât changed in years and we have suggested that the venue change up the menu as well as the caterers. An older, heavy set woman with the caterer was trying to tell us what we were to eat while serving us, not letting us decide what we wanted to eat. And the âPasta saladâ hadnât been set out to serve, we werenât even asked if we had wanted some after it was finally being served. The wait staff was exceptional though.
Many were complaining of not having some sort of music piped into the room, plus how long we were waiting on the show to start.
We were disappointed in the show as there wasnât really interaction with the people sitting on the second and third levels, it was all close to the stage. The play Reno 911 was boring. The ONLY enjoyment most of us had was when a couple of people that hadnât been there before to play a game for tickets later in the year. The music wasnât as good as it had been in years past.
If you want to sit closer to the stage, be prepared to pay more in hopes that the actors/actresses will...
