I get this Salvation Army one star because I’ve been living in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania since 2014 been coming to thisSalvation Army everything since I’ve reported them numerous of times to my knowledge they’re over price there items that’s being given to them for free. You have pore and less fortunate ppl that’s shop at the Salvation Army there making it hard for you to even shop for scraps… my point it if I’m going to go to the Salvation Army and pay 200 -300 dollars for a used bed or dresser I can go to a regular store and get it brand new for them prices…. And again everything is donated to the Salvation Army for (free ) something needs to change.

They play favoritism here. This particular lady will ring up your items and if you don’t have an item that’s not priced she will say it has to be sent back but for customers she likes or favors more she will give them at a discounted price. I can’t stand her nasty attitude.

Great way to reduce, recycle, reuse. Terrible organization on social justice values. Be nice to the employees. Many of them are here to pay off an alleged debt to society. Steer clear of the Men's shoes!

I used to love this Salvation Army for the deals that she would get but ever since the manager Ashley left and this new manager took over, she won't even cut a deal with anyone, even if the merchandise has been sitting on the floor for months. Also there are donation doors that are Breakaway in case of a fire, are literally screwed with a piece of metal over both top of them to hold them in place so they cannot break away.. this is such a fire hazard and needs to be fixed immediately! God forbid if there was ever a fire in this building you wouldn't be able to get everyone out because they put metal brackets over the breakaways someone needs to call the fire marshal and report that I am beyond upset with this new manager and if I could find who the district manager is at the store you can better believe I'm calling him!!!... Absolutely ridiculous that the manager wouldn't even deal with me because she had a line of people at the register. I was a paying customer that goes in there...

While the staff is friendly, and kind and it’s a great place to shop, I feel like this store specifically in Wilkes barre is kind of greedy with their prices. The prices are way too high!

In past years they were much lower. I’ve noticed they went up a lot! You used to be able to get most things at 1/3 of what they actually cost, be now it’s only about 1/2. As an avid thrifter and someone who cares about others this seems like it’s defeating the purpose of helping others or those who want things cheaper. If you are trying to help people who are want to pay less and get something used rather than pay full price, this isn’t the Salvation Army I would choose to go to. Nicer looking shoes that aren’t completely dirty or beat up are priced at almost $20! That’s ridiculous to me. If you want to get new shoes you could go to a discounted brand name store like TJ Maxx, etc. regardless still an ok place to shop just disappointed in the severe...

Prices were reasonable, but the organization could use some work. I understand it's a large store, but a lot of the sizes are mixed up, and their tags can be confusing at times - some of the pants I was looking at just had a question mark on them, which would be okay if the size tags were ripped out, but they weren't in a lot of cases, add that to things being mixed up, it made shopping a bit frustrating. Our cashier was also unnecessarily rude to us, barking at us that things needed to be removed from hangers for her before she could ring us up, after first ignoring that we were waiting. I get that everyone has bad days, but there isn't anything that states that the customer needs to do that. The sale color could also be displayed better, like on the front door, or when you first walk in. The only place I saw it displayed was at the register when we were checking out. I will go back though, cause their prices are pretty good for a...
