Beauty View — Attraction in Wilmington

This place is ok if you like paying too much for hair and being treated like everyone else. I get it that this place is right outside of the hood and they have pictures of everyone who's run out the door with products (mostly black people), spackled on the front doors.. I really get it.

I was willing to come here on the basis of it being so close to my apt and the prices when they first opened weren't so bad. Now its just astronomical.. The reason I decided to write this review is that I went in there on a whim on Tuesday because I didn't have time to order a wig online for an event this weekend. Well, the young lady servicing the wig area says (very kindly) that the owners do not want patrons touching the wigs.. What? Yes.. She said that the owners are very petty and she did not want to see us (myself and another young lady) get charged for tangling the hair or a track falling out...

Sooooo you want me to spend $80 on a wig and not touch it? Yeah, no. I politely told her thank you, and I will not be spending my hard earned money in a place where I cannot even access the wig properly to see if I want to buy it. If a track falls out while I am assessing it, I do not agree that I should be charged for it either, but hey such is the world of beauty supply stores right? Hmmm...

Tie that in with the treatment by the actual ppl who run this place, its just a bad mix for me. I'll go ahead and carry my business down to the Beauty World in New Castle. I really do hope that in the future black owned business will take over black consumer products and NOT take advantage of...

Good evening Google Family. After my fabulous workout at the Edge Gym, I decided I wanted to shop at a beauty supply store. I googled the closest one to my ride home and I came up with this one. I wanted more hair scarves to hide my imperfections on my head. I found them after walking around awhile. The vibe just wasn't right here. I was uncomfortable, I felt like eyes were watching me to make sure I wouldn't steal anything. I paid for my items and left. No bag for your items unless you are willing to pay .25 a bag. The person that rang me up, not at all friendly. I will not be patronizing this business again. Good night...

This place is great they've had every item that I needed I've recently begun to grow my hair out after years of rocking a buzz cut. so when I decide to grow my hair out I need products, oils, sprays, waves caps, combs, bushes, moisturizers, shampoo, conditioner, etc

I came here because it was close and I'm the same shopping plaza as ShopRite and it was the best choice I could've made for my hair products the owners are extremely helpful they know exactly where everything is and the products are reasonable priced.
