When it was time to part ways with my old comic books, I called memory lane comics. They scheduled a time for me to bring them in so they could look at what I had. After a few minutes of looking through what I had, Eric (the employee helping me) pointed out to me which comics were most valuable and which ones were only worth a dollar or less, he told me what he thought they would ultimately sell it all for and then made me what I thought was a more than fair offer, which I gladly accepted. He seemed really honest and it was nice to get a little extra spending money without the hassle of trying to sell these online. And their store is awesome with tons of comics and figures, old and new. I dealt with Eric for selling my comics but was helped by a couple other employees with carrying stuff in and also answering some questions I had. These folks are really good people and totally helpful and chill. I kinda expected it to be intimidating or for them to be annoyed by me not knowing anything about comics, but they were not like that at all. And you can tell they know what they are talking about. I asked one guy if they had any predator stuff and he knew what they had and knew that there’s a new comic series coming out and knew when it was coming out. Just a really positive experience. Thanks Memory...
Read moreWhen selling collections with any value, the owners tend to have one of three choices: best return - sell piecemeal through eBay which takes longer and you have to deal with returns based on comic grade; worst return -sell an entire collection to your local store which is the quickest but you will get perhaps 10 cents on the dollar of their actual worth; middle return - sell online to the various large collectors who are really looking for certain books but will buy an entire collection to get those books and, while it can be quick, you'll get maybe twenty cents on the dollar of the entire collection's worth. There is a fourth way that we used and I highly recommend: find someone who is willing to grade and sell your books with a 50/50 split. That is what we were able to work with Memory Lane. We had over 1100 books (predominantly Marvel Silver) and, while it took more time than we thought, Jake and I or he and his staff were willing to grade the books, show me the grades and values based upon eBay completed / sold comparables and work as partners. We were also able to sell a few original Johnny Romita sketches through eBay (the Shop gave the legitimacy) and do quite well. Without Memory Lane's willingness to partner, none of this would...
Read moreI have two stories to tell.
Me and my bf came by a couple weeks ago on vacation right after dinner and maybe 5mins before they closed(probably closer to 3 mins)..either way, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. Even though it was closing time they did not rush us. They said they enjoyed their job so much that they don’t mind staying late. We ended up buying one of their action figure/statues that was the display so they spent the time to package it up and again, not rushing us at all. I wish I caught both of their names but one person was named Ace! So shout out to them! Extremely nice!!!
On this past Monday I was going through their website to see if there was anything new my bf might like and noticed they had a power rangers helmet. Well I knew my bf would love it so I ordered it. Apparently I got the last one because Ben texted me asking if it was ok that my helmet was the display and not factory sealed. I said yes that was fine and he went ahead with the order and packaged it up safely and I received it today in wonderful condition.
Honestly, the customer service here is just amazing. They go the extra mile! Wonderful...
