Ordered delivery from Capricho thru Uber Eats last night since I was consuming adult beverages at home and was doing the "responsible" thing by not driving. I've ordered Capricho before and thought the meal was very good so I re-ordered the same items again for a second round, in order to document this review. FOOD: Elotes (Mexican street corn), cheese quesadilla, chips and queso and a grilled chicken burrito with lettuce, rice, black beans, fresh jalapeno, queso fresca, salsa and chopped onion. The elotes was for my wife and she said it was very good. When asked how it compared to her favorite, she stated it wasn't as good due to it being very sweet but she still enjoyed it. Our son's quesadilla was just as it's made south of the border and is simple. The cheese blend was plentiful and the tortillas were soft. The side of creamy chili powder dip wasn't bad at all but since it's served very cold, even I preferred the quesadilla without it, once I took a small bite. My burrito was large...very large. It was wrapped neatly in foil and was hot once I sliced into it. The ingredients were very fresh and savory but this burrito was also bland. I was expecting some spice, heat or kick with each bite but there was none. After I added some Valentina hot sauce on top of each bite, the true flavors of the ingredients finally shined. The best summary I can say about this burrito would be this...it's an X-large burrito from Chipotle, when Chipotle is on their game 100% (which is very rare). It was good, just not great. I appreciate how fresh the ingredients were. If I ordered this again, I would order it with cheddar jack cheese, extra jalapeno and no rice inside. There was such a large rice-to-chicken ratio, that the chicken got lost inside with many bites. The star of the night are their multi-colored chips and queso cheese dip. Both were fantastic but there's something about the seasoning dusting on the chips that make them incredible. Quite possibly, my favorite tortilla chips in town now. SCORE: 3.8 STARS!! SERVICE: Used Uber Eats and was delivered to my door 15 mins earlier than advised. All food was hot, properly packaged and nicely presented for delivery. SCORE: 5 STARS!! OVERALL SCORE: It's tasty, fresh and portionally pleasing. With some heat / spice modifications to the burrito, quesadilla dipping sauce and maybe finding a way to char-grill the corn over an open flame for the elotes, this could be seriously great food. Pricing was very fair though and I would try them again. 3.9 STARS!!!

Maybe not authentic but it was still tasty and I'm giving some extra points for having a variety of hot sauce options. Pictured: salsa verde chicken enchiladas. These are definitely the driest enchiladas I've ever had and I probably should have asked for sour cream or just something to drench it in. The chicken was pretty well seasoned. It's a small space, the vibe is relaxed tavern which I dig. Staff was also super nice. I'll probably go back to try some tacos, Elote, and the churros.

Capricho is consistently my favorite lunch spot downtown. The daily food specials are great, there’s a daily really good beer special, and the everyday menu is amazing. Love supporting a spot with a hands on owner, he’s the chef and puts in work! Shelby right now is the front of house, she’s the sweetest and one of my favorites to see downtown. Quick food, calm and low key atmosphere, im always so excited to go here. Support this local business!!!! I’ve always left happy

Decided to try the place on a whim based on the reviews, and showed up for one of the weirdest dining experiences I've ever had: The menu was poorly designed, they didn't have empanadas or enchiladas that were listed on it "because the person who makes them didn't show up", the staff seemed pretty unexcited to be there, and the dining area was totally empty with "Impractical Jokers" playing loudly in the TV.

After confusion over the menu, instead of just eating the $3.00 difference(probably $1 in cost to the restaurant), an employee came and told me that I couldn't have what the other employee rang me up for and that instead I could either pay the difference or change my order. At this point, just wanting to leave (the chips and guac that just showed up were stale in the first and completely flavorless in the second) I accepted to change my order to the pork belly tacos that other reviews raved about.

When the order arrived, they brought me shrimp tacos instead. I'm generally pretty easy going and like shrimp tacos, so I just shrugged it off, but the tacos were pretty mediocre, as were my date's carnitas tacos.

Save your money and go to literally any of the other taco places in town. I'd take Island's $1...

This is the second time ordering from here though Uber eats. First time the salsa was watered down and had a funny fishy taste and my carne Asada taco literally disintegrated in my hand. This time was even worse I asked for the meat to be off to the side so that the shells wouldn’t be soggy which did not happen so once again the shells just fell apart without me even taking a bite. The meat was way to salty and over cooked on my second order. I opted to not get the chips and salsa this time and try the street corn which is usually one of my favorite Mexican dishes and I was saddened the corn was literally Brunt to a crisp with no flavor except for the cheese, mayo and chilly powder no corn flavor what so ever. I will not be trying this place again. Giving 2 stars based on the fact the first time my carne asada tasted good just couldn’t eat it as a taco and the plantains where really good on my...
