The Riverfront Market is deliberately funky, a repurposed heavy machine works left over from when the Wilmington waterfront was filled with shipyards producing cargo and warships for the USN. The old hoistways and workbays are still discernable, but the machines and tooling have been replaced with an eclectic collection of food vendors and a small grocery. Breakfast or lunch, or fresh fruit, they've got you covered. If you want something more substantial, there's a fishery-themed restaurant right next door, and many more restaurants a short stroll away.

Read moreThis was my first time going to the Riverfront Market located in Wilmington DE. Here you'll find great eateries inside the marketplace. There is something for everyone to eat such as fresh fruit, sushi, soul food, seafood, the list goes on, oh and not to mention the delicious baked goods! After we ate, we took a nice stroll along side the Waterfront and just relaxed in the sun along side the other folks sitting about on benches or the grassy areas. Read moreI never even knew about The Riverfront Market until my brother became the head pastry chef at Banks' Seafood and Raw Bar, giving my family and I an excuse to go for dessert. After which, we were able to take our time and walk through The Market. There's a nice variety of vendors! I had no idea so much deliciousness could be located under one roof!! Effoc's Coffee Shop, The Cheesesteak Factory, and of course, the Banks' Burgers and BBQ location in the Market are my 3 favorite hands down! This place is DEFINITELY worth checking out......
