Extremely rude front desk staff. I haven’t been to a show here yet, but I have tickets. I called to ask a few questions about the layout of the theater because I personally have never been to a broadway show. My wife has always wanted to go to a play, so I wanted to try and get the best seats that were still available. We were very excited about this, so I’m rather sad and disappointed after this experience.
The man I spoke with on the phone seemed nice and was helpful. But once the call was over, he forgot to hang up the phone and proceeded to talk to his coworker about how I’m “some stoner guy” and started mocking my voice and personality, and talking about the time (they still had another 30 minutes until closing). I was going to say something, but I just hung up.
I called today to tell them about my experience but no one answered. I left a message, but then thought I should leave a review on here since he’s probably the one listening to voicemails and would just delete it before the right person hears it.
He needs to be held accountable and understand that mocking people and their intonation is incredibly rude, demeaning, and the behavior of a bully. FYI, I’ve never smoked or taken any kind of drug in my life. I don’t even drink.
This made me feel like I was back in middle school or high school. I guess people don’t really mature with age.
Do better,...
Read moreThere are far too few concession employees and the parking situation is a fiasco. It's a shame that such wonderful shows are made less wonderful by the poor organization of this venue.
One problem is the ADA section. First....it's hard to order tickets online for people with disabilities. Then they stick you over on the far sides of the theater. While you might technically be "closer" to the stage....you miss almost all visuals on either side. Folks...these tickets aren't exactly cheap either. It would be nice to see more than 2/3 of the stage.
There are some fairly rude employees working there. I understand that working with the public can be awful...but people don't have to be downright nasty when they speak to people who are patrons of the venue that supports their paychecks.
Fortunately, the show itself was magnificent. The rest of the experience was entirely controlled by the venue, the staff, and the city personnel. Sadly, it left a very sour note on attending other events at this location.
This can be a wonderful town, full of wonderful people. I don't think this particular night was a good example of what our southern town is...
Read moreOMG!! I Totally must say" I had not been there before and do not know why I waited so long to" Grace that place, with my awesome Face". But mission accomplished and it was EXCELLENT. IF A PLACE HAS THE ABILITY TO CAPTURE MY ATTENTION , it has to be pretty gosh darn good. That by its self is not an easy task. Everyone that I came across that was affiliated with the Center was so happy, honest and helpful,, by the time I was ready to leave,,, they were like family. Me and one of the Door-people were conversating like we known each other for many Moons. But just met 10 minutes before that. Anyhow...........THE WILSON CENTER. IT GETS CRAZY ALS stamp of APPROVAL. VERY SPACIOUS AND UN CLAUSTROPHOBIC feeling for those of us that don't like sitting in closets. PTSD issues was NONE. Anxiety was lowered by the staffs interaction and I think they can spot somebody with...
