⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Evening at The Wine Room

My recent visit to The Wine Room was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish—perfect for a relaxed yet refined night out.

We were lucky enough to have Patrick as our waiter, and he truly made the experience unforgettable. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without pretense—he struck the perfect balance. His recommendations were spot on, and his genuine enthusiasm added so much to the evening.

I started with an Old Fashioned, which was one of the best I’ve had—beautifully balanced, with just the right amount of richness and citrus. I followed it up with a Whiskey Sour, which was equally impressive: smooth, frothy, and delightfully tart. To round off the night, we enjoyed a bottle of wine that Patrick helped us choose, and it complemented our evening perfectly.

Whether you’re into expertly crafted cocktails, a curated wine selection, or simply want a place with great service and a great vibe, The Wine Room delivers on every level. We’ll definitely be back—and we’ll be asking...

Ugh. I drove an hour and a half to check this place out as I'd heard so many great things, only to arrive, and they were closed due to staffing issues. I was disappointed, but I was more upset that I had to drive there to know that. Their social media pages only mentioned being closed on Tuesday, not Wednesday. And the website said nothing at all. Extremely frustrating especially since someone at Valerie Hill recommended it. ARGH.

Edit: My response to the business owner. Of course your staff is your primary concern, but your customers should be as well. If you read my review I said social media AND your website - which takes NO time to update in order NOT to inconvenience your customer.

And because of this sarcastic response, not only will I not be returning for my "accurate review," I have a very large social media platform (as well as my wine and vineyard influencer friends) I am more than happy to let them know about the lack of professionalism you have demonstrated. Four of them are members of Valerie Hill. I'm sure they would LOVE to read this response.

Oh, and I hope your "staff"...

Between the menu and the wonderfully crafted wine list this place is perfect for an evening out (though I've been for brunch, too and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!). The food is flavorful, creative and sophisticated; this is no thrown together meal, but one that has thought and care. I love the changes to the menu, too; it shows seasonal fare and allows for variety. Every time I go, I let the bartenders know what I'm in the mood for and they hit it spot on every time; I've literally said I want something dry, reminiscent of fall with smooth berry notes, and they've handed it to me. As an oenophile, I can attest to the quality and variety of the list and teh knowledge the team has of it. I often say this wine list is the best in our area. Shawn and Tyler have a gem on their hands, and if you've ever considered going, stop considering and run on over! You will not be...

Let me start by saying that the Wine Room has become my new go-to spot for any occasion. Recently, I celebrated my birthday here, and it was an experience I won't forget. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. But what truly blew me away was their willingness to go above and beyond. Knowing it was my birthday, my best friend collaborated with the bartender (days before) to create a special cocktail just for me. After discussing my preferences for flavors and spirits, he crafted a beautiful and delicious drink that perfectly captured my taste. It was a thoughtful gesture that added a personal touch to my birthday celebration and showcased the bar's commitment to exceeding expectations. Such a great experience and will be recommending it to all my friends & family.

These guys care. Period. Stopped by for a drink and snack. Host was incredibly friendly. Server initially seemed standoffish about the host not alerting him of our seating, but it immediately became clear that it was because he cared so much about our experience. My wife and mother had a very unique Romanian wine, and I had a cocktail with apple butter (Grandma’s Copper Kettle) which was a perfect autumn feature. The baked Brie was a great amouch bouche before checking out other Old Town establishments. This was the most knowledgeable and caring staff we had in Winchester.

My husband and I visited to the wine room at Taylor pavilion for our 11 year anniversary tonight. We could not have had a better experience. It was 11/10. Fantastic service. Beautiful atmosphere. Delicious food and a massive selection of drinks. We had champagne followed with red wine… and both were excellent! Even higher marks… they accommodated my celiac disease with numerous gluten free options… that’s not easy to find in most places. And honestly, I’m going to dream about that ahi tuna dish tonight.
