I am enjoying my new Ballon Bleu 33 mm watch from Cartier via Alson Jewelers of Woodmere, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland). I had been having difficulty procuring it, as I wanted it to be vintage. The vintage one I found and had shipped to me did not work. I sent it back to 1st Dibs. I decided that the price difference between vintage and new was negligible, so decided to contact a reputable jewelry store which is a certified Cartier dealer. Isabelle was super-helpful in providing answers to my questions on the phone, so I decided to ask her to order it for me. She told me it'd be a week to arrive. In a week, it had arrived. I went into the store and spent a wonderful hour or more chatting about our love of jewelry and how symbolic certain pieces of jewelry can be. She knows her Cartier watches by model, size, materials and price. Truly, she didn't need to work her sales magic skills on me, as I have been looking for this watch for ages and knew immediately it was what I wanted. The credit card transaction was flawless, and I walked out with my new Ballon Bleu. I think that most anyone could work well with Isabelle, as she is careful, knowledgeable and very personable. Alson Jewelers has a comprehensive stock of many lines of fine jewelry. The new showroom is gorgeous, it is well-policed by professionals in security, one in a local municipal police uniform and one in a private security company's uniform. I felt that the shop is luxe and appeals probably to people younger than me (I'm 67), but I felt quite at home and welcomed by all. While we spoke, I sipped a good cup of coffee and had access to a "Candy Bar" with all manner of delicious snack-sized candies and chocolates. Very, very impressed with Alson Jewelers. If you are looking to buy jewelry, never go to a chain store ("He went to...Jar...head!"), go to a prosperous-looking individually-owned shop where repairs are done in-house. At Alson, ask...

Upon entering the store, I was greeted warmly, and my needs were promptly attended to by Jackie. I needed to have links added to my Longines watch band, and Jackie's professionalism and attention to detail left me thoroughly impressed. She took the time to measure my wrist against the watch, ensuring a perfect fit. I had the links with me, and within less than 10 minutes, Jackie readjusted the band to achieve an exact fit that exceeded my expectations.

What truly set this experience apart was Jackie's commitment to perfection. Rather than settling for a standard adjustment, she went the extra mile to make sure the fit was absolutely flawless. Jackie's dedication to customer satisfaction was truly commendable.

Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency and precision of the onsite watchmaker, Josh. His expertise contributed significantly to the smooth and fast process, ensuring that I left the store with a perfectly fitted watch band in no time.

What stood out the most was the genuine care and passion that Jackie and the Alson Jewelers team exhibited throughout my visit. To my amazement, Jackie refused to accept payment for the service, making this a truly "wow" experience that exceeded all expectations.

Absolutely the finest jewelry business in Northeast Ohio! Having shopped with them in the past with great satisfaction, they were naturally the first stop on my engagement ring journey. My sales associate, Alex (she's the best in the game - seriously!), helped me find the perfect ring, and worked with me for months with the patience of a saint to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. The ring is absolutely beautiful, and she receives compliments on it all the time.

After finally popping the question, her care in helping my wife and I choose our wedding bands (and letting us know when the best time to buy was as there was a twice a year event coming up) was just as exemplary. Alex's sharp eye and sense of individual style was catered directly to the tastes of my wife and I; never once were we 'sold', and her desire to ensure she made everything perfect was obvious from the first moment she greeted me at the door years ago.

Along the way I also had the pleasure of working with and receiving an extensive education from David, one of the owners. While working with him I expressed an interest in a rare piece for a very special occasion, and while I felt like the request was likely a pipedream, David gave careful consideration of my request, and assured me he would do everything he could to make it happen. Needless to say, David was not only true to his word, but made the occasion so special it will be a story I will (enthusiastically!) tell for the rest of my life.

To say these people treated me like part of the family is an understatement.
