I had a hard time believing the fact that Bensel has 5 stars BUT from the moment I walked through the door to the moment my husband surprised me with me wedding bands after not being able to wear them for 3 years, I am so overjoyed to say that I was absolutely blown away! We brought in my 3 bands to get the works; I had my rings resized, cleaned, dipped, and sautered together, and they look BRAND NEW! Joe was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with! I knew my rings would look better than they did, but whenever I tell you they look like the day my husband gave them to me 11 years ago, I'm not exaggerating. I cried on mother's day whenever my husband surprised me with my rings! I didn't expect them back until this coming weekend!

I brought my rings in 3 weeks ago and they were too small, 2 rings were discolored and needed to be redipped, one band that had been resized had a black mark on the bottom side that had been there for 10 years, they were DIRTYYYY and in desperate need of a good deep clean... I have LOVED showing them off to family, friends, at work, and I've told everyone that Bensel is the place to go for jewelry repair. They absolutely SPARKLE again, they fit perfectly, and with the sautering, they built my bands back up because they were wearing a little on the thinner side after so much wear and tear. I cannot say enough good things about my experience.

I had a wonderful experience!!!!!!! I was treated with respect and dignity!! I unfortunately had to sell a few items. They were my Mom’s who I lost a little over 2yrs ago. I wasn’t going to buy my husband had been really sick and in the hospital…..he actually passed away and the ambulance crew brought him back to life. So when my husband is in the hospital the state won’t pay me any time because I’m not caring for him. So unfortunately I had to sell a few items of my Mom’s after all. I didn’t make a lot of money but they were fair with what I brought them. Joesph knew my story and another gentleman that came over to talk with me. Both men still treated me kindly after knowing my story….NEVER looked down on me but had COMPASSION!!!!!!!!!! I don’t find that anymore this day and age!! I was greeted with a friendly smile when I came in the door of Paul Benson Jewelers. Lorelei assisted me. I had a couple of small jewelry cases of old earrings and rings that I thought were just costumed jewelry but wanted to know if there was any value to the items. Lorelei meticulously went through all of the jewelry and tested the metals and I believe even did an acid test on a couple of pieces to determine if there was any value. I was very surprised to find that there was over $1400.00 worth of precious metal in this stuff that I thought was just costume jewelry and was going to give it away to the neighborhood kids to use for dress up. Two takeaways from this experience are: (1) Lorelei was very warm and friendly, professional and thorough. I would highly recommend having any old jewelry checked for value by them and if you're looking for rings or diamonds or coins, something along the jewelry line, they had a great selection of items for purchase. Lots of beautiful, sparkly rings. (2) Before you give old jewelry away to kids to play with take the time to have it valued just to make sure. You might be very surprised to find out that that gold color metal might really be worth a little...
