What was the problem with giving me the form 1st?
I arrived, took a number to queue, it was 20 numbers apart. Oh dear, I thought. The form I was after, was not available on the website so when a counter was available, i quickly asked the lady (at counter B) for the form. She said get a number and wait. I asked another guy (counter A) who happened to be topping up some forms in the shelves 15 minutes after. He said, yes i would be given when my number was called. About 1 hour later, my number was called, the lady gave me the form and while telling me to complete the form, she called the next person in line (mrs Brown).
Wasnt that my whole point an hour ago? To give me the form so that while waiting for 1 hour i could have completed the form. Instead, I waited again to submit the completed form.
It got worse.
After i completed the form, i waited for mrs Brown to finish her business. Counter A was available at the time, but i wasnt sure if he was serving, so i didnt approach, i waited for the lady instead. He called for the number. Oh darn, i could have.
When the lady finished, she again called the next number while still answering mrs Brown's questions. I thought "wait, i am giving you this". While the lady was attending me, the next person stood next to me, waiting for me. I wonder if she knew i had been waiting, i didnt cut line.
Dont get me wrong. The lady and the guy were both polite, but they could have given me the form. I wouldnt have asked if it was available on the website! Please...
Ā Ā Ā Read morei lost my passport just two days before my flight home on April 4th. I immediately went to the police station to get a loss report. Since it was already late at night, I planned to go to the Indonesian Consulate (KJRI) the next morning. Unfortunately, it was during the Eid holiday, and the KJRI was officially closed until April 7th, reopening on the 8th. I initially planned to just wait until it reopenedābut we also tried calling the hotline on the night of April 4th.
To my surprise, on the morning of April 5th, I was asked to come to the KJRI at 9:30 AM to input my data. By 12:30 PM, my SPLP (travel document) was readyāon a Saturday, during the Eid holiday! Thatās truly amazing.
I was assisted by Kak Dini and Kak Umar, who were both incredibly kind and helpful. When I asked Kak Dini about it, she mentioned she was actually out for a morning run when she got the call to come in and helpāshe was still in her hoodie!
Thank you so much, KJRI Perth! You went above and beyond. Iām so grateful for your help. Truly...
