If you enjoy the most over priced and low staffed cruise ship this is the place for you to drop $45k over 1 week!
Warning! LONG READ!
Below is a detailed list of what not to do if you are planning a beach vacation:
Day 1: check in to Rosewood hotel (this being the most important what not to do) and request an ice bucket to be sent to the room - after 3 calls it finally arrives 45 minutes later. Spend $800 for 2 kids and 2 adults to have to most average non filling dinner at cafe boulud. And HELLO MOSQUITOS - covered face to toe just from sitting outside to have dinner. Order room service through the touch screen for 7:30am in hopes to have an easy morning.
Day 2: Wake up at 6:40am to room service asking if they can bring the food up now (wakes up 5 and 7 year old in next room) and request they wait until 7:30 as selected to bring food. Food arrives at 7:30 cold and inedible. Beach has horrible service, covered in cigarette buds, trash, and locals trying to sell random items and services with loud blaring music. Finally butlers are made aware we arrived and attempt to help with service. They thought we never arrived because of the pure lack of communication. Attempt to order room service through said butlers for 6:45 as we are leaving to fish at 7:30 am
Day 3: breakfast food does not arrive, late to fishing as we had to wait at the only open breakfast spot for to go food before taking kids fishing. Dinner at Cleo is not worth eating.
Day 4: 7 year old hits his head on water park water gun in the child sting ray cove area causing a waste of purchasing a cabana and over 2 hours spent at the Baha mar hospital to glue his head together. When we try to go to 1 of the 2 music bars during an evening klk baby sitting service (babysitting was best part of experience) we are turned away because a private company event has booked out the whole venue.
Day 5: late to golf tee time, waited 25 minutes for a shuttle. Loud horrible music playing from locals next to beach trying to sell you pineapples. Sushi restaurant is hands down the worst and most expensive sushi I have ever had, the toro served was not even toro. Made my husband sick.
Day 6: served frozen inedible pancakes for breakfast at cafe boulud. Paid for 2 90 minute massages that the booking was screwed up by staff months before and was forced to be in room vs in spa was only a 60 minute AWFUL massage. Asked about Marcus sky bar for dinner, told to go for a walk in at 6:00pm, showed at 5:50 and turned away saying they are done with walk ins for the evening so we spent another $800 for dinner at very average cafe boulud. Go to put kids away and a loud dj with spot lights on the beach keeps kids awake until after 10pm.
Day 7: At this point I just want to get out of this over priced nickel and dime nightmare (if only it were just nickels and dimes) beach day was filled with more loud obnoxious music, trash on the beach, and people trying to sell random items. We made it to Marcus Sky bar for dinner at 5:30 as a walk in and it may have saved the whole trip. That was the best meal of the whole experience both service and food quality wise, despite the $600 price tag.
In conclusion, this is the worst 5 star beach vacation I have ever experienced and I would not recommend this resort to anyone. Below is a list of 5 star beach hotels I have been to in the last 5 years that are INCREDIBLE especially when compared to Rosewood Baha Mar:
Banyan Tree Mayakoba Montage Maui Ritz St Thomas Four Seasons Cabo Ritz Maui Four Seasons Punta Mita
This experience has caused our family to never try another Rosewood hotel ever again for any reason.
Best of luck to those who try this poor excuse of a luxury hotel, I have had better experiences at the holiday inn Orlando in...
Read moreMy wife and I, been married for years, Thirty-Seven to be exact. Anniversary, we wanted to celebrate, So our bags, were quickly packed.
Still unsure though, where to go, We like places, super nice. We heard that Rosewood, Baha Mar, Was a Bahamian Paradise.
First class, so great, amazing, Five-star ratings filled my screen. So, we booked a flight to Nassau, For an island quarantine.
Not talking about the COVID kind, Your tested right at the door. They’ve built, a resort bubble, Leaving guests safe to explore.
This place was well done, off the chain, Not a detail, over-looked. But the team of people working there, Is what really got us hooked.
Our butler Chrisnell, aimed to please, She was there from minute one. Helping to tend to every need, And to make sure, we had fun.
Her laugh, genuine and joyful, Personality, soft and sweet. Follow through, no doubt impeccable, Service level was complete.
Did I mention she had a partner? Two for one, man what a treat. Cory was just, as awesome, Both professional and upbeat.
We saw them everywhere we went, Making sure, we were always set. Dressed in a suit, out on the beach, But we never saw them sweat.
We’re thankful for their service, Delivered, with heart and grace. They each are reasons, one and two, Why the Rosewoods’, our new place.
Pulled up a chair at the Costa Bar, Our first stop on the scene. The place was fresh and tropical, Mexican twist, coastal cuisine.
Bartenders were Chris and Mucho, For sure, they are yin and yang. Chris is the vegetarian. For Mucho, meat’s his thang.
They both brought personality, This is something, we embrace. These guys were reasons, three and four, Why we really loved that space.
Off to the beach, for sun and fun, Where you think, service might slow? Not even close, meet Michael, He put us in the flow.
With chairs and towels set up. Turquoise water for a dip. Michael brings us wine and water, And he pours us both a sip.
He set the tone, we should relax, All day there, we must linger. I’ll bring you anything you need, Don’t you even, lift a finger.
You know of course, we listened, Push a button, and there was Mike. With warmth and sense of humor, Truly nothing, NOT to like.
He brought me chicken fingers, As he giggled, that's kid’s menu. Delivered, on a sandy beach, Just like, some fancy venue.
His smile showed through, so clearly, While the mask, obscured his face. So Michael is reason number five, Why we just adored that place.
We spent our last day, at the pool, Just more service, off the chain. Again, the team at Rosewood, Left us no room, to complain.
From start to end, there was a man, Valentino was his name. Delighting each and every guest, Is how he gained his fame.
Andre and Jason, there to please, And fulfill, the Rosewood creed. Timely and perfect service, For each and every need.
We made our rounds; I think we hit, Every restaurant, in the place. So here’s a few more standouts, That enhanced our interface.
Pablo keeps an eagle eye, On his team that works outside. Trevor works at the Carna bar, His charisma, undenied.
Randall delivered, from behind the bar, Swimming pig gets our accolades. While Tiffany raised the energy, Sang to each song, that was played.
Last but not least, the Jazz bar, Where we ended up every night. Antonique, so sweet and competent, And I mean, a pure delight.
So there’s your review, from J-LO, As a poem, just to make you grin. Hope to see you all at Rosewood, When we show our face again.
Thank you, You were all outstanding.

Read moreAll the staff is cordial and the accommodations as confortable as expected. However, despite of that we incurred in some problems. First of all, our luggage were placed in the wrong room. Not a problem, we were traveling with another family, and there they went. But, the bellman that were with us in the quest of finding them, left us as soon as located, without even ask if we need to carry them to the right place. Carrying the bags ourselves in this fancy place? Strike one. Then, the room itself. It was big and confort, but dimmer than usual, a desklamp between the beds being the only effective light fixture. No lights in the ceiling, despite of existing 6 light switches throughout the room. I call the reception and inquire about it: “The room is a little dim, maybe i’m doing something wrong. But the only working light is a desklamp… is that correct?”. The receptionist, very very pleasantly, respond that they would send the engineering to check. 1 hour late, no one came, and I went personnaly to the reception and reinstated my question. Plus 1 hour and nobody came. Then i spoke with the manager, an exceedingly pleasant person, who reassured us that the engineer's were coming ASAP. And a little less than an hour later, the maintenance people came and concluded that the room was supposed to be dim, the switches doesn’t work, really and there are no light in the ceiling*. (Maybe the extra switches are due to a room redecoration). Then we encountered the manager again. No no, there’s no need to change rooms, nor extra desklamps. We are here to embrace the experience that you want to provide us! Maybe they should train the desk clerks to respond at once that the room is supposed to be a bit little dim, for intimacy atmosphere should be appropriated or something like that This useless wait cost us the last rays of the sun. Strike two. We had travelled to Bahamas and chose our staying at Rosewood to celebrate my wife’s birthday. What could be better? Maybe we are a unlucky. Because on the day in question, they forgot to leave bath towels at our room. Due to dinner reservations (we were celebrating ar Cafe Bouloud), I told my wife to get going and take the shower, that I would ask for them. I should know better. After 2 calls and 15 min waiting, even begging them not to ruin this special day, nada. So I went moi meme to chase the towels, first at the reception and then with a very kind and helpful man at the entrance. But, since it took 35 minutes to get them, my wife had used the hand towel to do the job. Happy birthday? Strike three. As an extra fact, it rains an entire day during our staying, adding to the unlucky theory. And the Bahamar complex (and probably the enteire country) isn’t ready for the influx of tourists looking for indoor daytime activities, including lunch. And we end up eating poorly. Of course this wasn’t Rosewood fault, but oh well…
ps- we checked and in fact there are no ceiling lights in our friend’s room. And there are reviews of this hotel, commenting about the lack of...
