Sugar Factory - Bahamas — Restaurant in New Providence

I went back and forth on deciding if this was a three or four star review. I'm sticking with four stars because I did like the presentation of the drinks and food. This restaurant is very instagrammable. Everything comes out looking amazing. The margarita flights were super cool, they have dozens of options to choose from. All of them tasted great.

We are vegetarian and got vegetarian burgers, both of them were pretty good. Definitely looks more flavorful than they really are. But again the presentation was nice. We celebrated a birthday here and I was pretty shocked when they tried to force a $20 candle on me. No thanks. 😅

Definitely be aware that they will charge you $15 for water. They will not serve you house/tap water here. If you are like me and drink a lot of water then definitely bring your own.

The prices here are astronomical. I believe you are definitely paying for the aesthetics of everything. It's a unique experience, but I definitely wouldn't go back, just because the prices were outrageous. I can see how kids would really enjoy the presentation of food, lots of colorful things and what kid wouldn't like rainbow burgers.

The service was adequate with but nothing special. It is also incredibly LOUD here. Like so loud that we all left with a headache and you can't really talk to the people you are with.

Also be aware that there are no bathrooms in the restaurant. You have to leave the restaurant and go find a bathroom elsewhere, which is a little bit strange. So make sure you use the bathroom before you sit down...

My wife and I made reservations for dinner the only time they had was 9 o’clock or later so we made it for 9 o’clock for four We showed up at 9 o’clock on the dot and was told that we had to wait until they clear the table but another couple that was scheduled for 915 had showed up before us and was seated before us we had to wait until 9:20 to be seated And then took us another 15 minutes before we could place our drink order after placing the drink order our friends who are with us got their drinks 10 minutes later my wife and I were going to share a drink we were told they were making it still we order our food waited another 20 minutes and our appetizer came out we ate the appetizer still no drink we flag down a manager and talk to him and he was going to get us our drink it still took another 10 minutes before we got our drink the food came out after that the food was ok nothing special We ate then ask for the check and boxes for our leftovers the check came the way they didn’t have any boxes we had wait again only after 2 hours + I was getting upset another employee finally came with the boxes we pay and left if you are a local the service is great but if you are vacationing not so great.we live near one in the states wanted to try it now wouldn’t think about it. My family and I ate here for our last night in the Bahamas (a Sunday night). The waiter Brandon was rude and service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not crowded. The grilled cheese for $17 was two pieces of white bread with a slice of cheddar. It was supposed to come with a creamy marinara dipping sauce. When we asked about it, we were told by Brandon that he was checking on it. We then saw him doing anything but that, clearing tables, etc. We asked again and were told it doesn’t come with that, until we pointed to the menu. He eventually brings it out, after everyone else is done eating. Then we waited around another 20-30 minutes for dessert. We ordered 3 desserts, one was to go because my nephew went back to the room and felt ill. When Brandon brought out the 2 desserts, I asked whether the milkshake was still coming out and his response was “I only have two hands”. He mills about for another 5-10 minutes and then finally drops off the milkshake. If you are in the customer service industry, when people ask for assistance they aren’t trying to be rude.
