Absolutely horrifying experience at Costa. Went for a friend’s birthday dinner and left feeling sick to my stomach. I took one sip of my drink and never looked at it again. I took one bite of the lobster taco I ordered and immediately sent it back to the kitchen! The birthday girl ordered birria quesadillas and sent her plate back as well. The food was awful! The manager came to our table asking us what was wrong and we explained that the food was just not good. He asked us if we would like anything else from the menu and we declined. The manager seemed annoyed at us. We were not being difficult at all. We were just highly disappointed by the food we received. Another member of her party who arrived late, then cancelled her order because she did not want to be disappointed as well. My friend’s cousin ordered a lobster dish. The lobster was served with pork on top of it but he was unaware of this. He offered to share his lobster with us because we were unsatisfied with our food. We all had a few bites of his dish. We ate then asked for the check. While we waited for the server to come back for the card, the person who ordered the lobster said “something’s moving in this food”. I turned the flashlight on my iPhone on and immediately screamed!!!!! It was a ROACH!!!!!! The roach was crawling on the pork that was stuffed in the lobster. I then took a photo without flash and a video with flash! The lighting in the restaurant was dim so the roach was blending in with the meat. The server immediately took our plate and the manager came back to our table for the second time! At this point, the roach was just the icing on the cake for us!! The manager apologized and asked us where did the roach come from… He offered us a drink and then invited us to dine with them again, which we declined for obvious reasons. (We also did not pay the bill, which was under $250) After we left, I contacted Rosewood via DM. I was left feeling unsettled about what happened and the attitudes we received that night, as if anything was our fault. They reached out to me and confirmed that they shut down their establishment to get it exterminated because it is an indoor/outdoor restaurant so anything is bound to happen. I was then invited to dine at any restaurant in Bahamar again, which I declined again. I am scarred and would rather not put myself in that predicament again. I told them to reach out to the birthday girl because she was highly disappointed and this did put a sour mood on her special day and they did but no one came to a resolution. Overall, this was a terrifying experience to...

My wife and I are residents of the Bahamas. We have eaten out a lot in the last two years. We have never had a bad experience with any place really in the Bahamas but this place. We were so excited to try this place last Sunday and sad that it was not a good experience at all. My wife got food poisoning from the brunch plate that comes with everything. I did not eat the seafood part but she did. I felt an upset stomach but I did not get sick, she did. It was the only place we ate that day so we knew it was there. We pretended everything was great when asked. We think it was the seafood part of the meal. I don't know who is cooking on Sunday but I can honestly say that it is noticeable if you have eaten anywhere else in the Bahamas and then come here. We had eaten at Marcus the day before, just a hundred feet away from Costa. It was a five star experience there.

I don't like to write negative reviews but none of the food was good at all. It was almost embarrassing. The food took about 45 minutes to come and the place we almost empty on Sunday around 1. The waiter we had did not come to are table for longer periods of time. The wait time between the servings was about 40 minutes. They also had a woman singing along with music she played. It did not fit the mood at all compared to the music that played before she arrived. The music also became very loud at certain parts and then would die back down. It seemed like someone was turning just certain parts of the music up for about 30 seconds or so. You were interrupted if you were talking and had to wait for it to come back down. This happened about 10 times. I got the feeling that there was no management there that day and people just did they wanted. Our bill with tip was a little over $300. I would not take a chance with this place honestly. My hope is they turn things around because it has great potential with...

If you're looking for the ultimate restaurant experience at Baha Mar, look no further than Costa at the Rosewood. Among the Baha Mar restaurants, the Rosewood selections bring the best ambiances, with Costa as the spotlight with its stunning entrances that immediately transport you to a unique setting.

Costa Restaurant offers an ambiance like no other, boasting three distinct dining spaces. As you arrive, you're welcomed by the first space—the outdoor bar. It features captivating Moorish-style lamps hanging from a high wooden ceiling, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Inside, the dining room exudes mid-century Havana deco, adding a touch of sophistication. Even the bathroom reflects this stylish aesthetic.

The outdoor dining space is truly remarkable, with open hut designs that create a mesmerizing illusion of floating. Each hut accommodates around 5-6 tables, providing an intimate and immersive dining experience.

For service at Costa and in general for Baha Mar—nearly everyone working at the resort understands the key principles of good hospitality, and there is a high standard of service that is uniform. The menu isn’t particularly large nor complex so there is little space for dialogue with the staff.

When it comes to cuisine, Costa specializes in upscale Mexican seafood, with a focus on locally caught fishes infused with Bahamian flavors. The menu is thoughtfully crafted, effortlessly blending Mexican culinary traditions with the vibrant essence of the Bahamas.

Costa at the Rosewood is a gem that captures the essence of both Mexico and the Bahamas, offering a delightful dining experience that is both authentic...

Costa is located in Baha Mar, in the Rosewood hotel area and is specialized in mexican cuisine. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a comforting and fresh mexican meal, being surrounded by the vibrant tropical vegetation, thanks to its outside dining spaces that are directly on a pool. The food is also very good and authentic. The guacamole is a must have, but I also recommend the aguachile and the baby scallops as appetizers. Since we tried this restaurant multiple times, I can suggest the mahi mahi fajitas as a main, as well as the halibut and the roasted chicken. Also the brussel sprouts with mole were worth trying. Portions are very gentle so if you have appetizers you can also consider having one main to share. Last but not least, cocktails were delicious, so definitely worth having. Service was extremely nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely recommended, both for lunch and dinner.
