Hostal ALSIGAL — Hotel in La Paz

The Good Things: ||The twin room with private bathroom was only 70Bs, lot less less than most of the famous Hostel recommended everywhere. breakfast is not included but the premium choice is only 15Bs and in the end you will still pay less than those other Hostels with a much, much better breakfast.The rooms are clean and comfortable with no heat (at least the one that I stayed in) the hostel itself was very friendly-looking, nice colors, everything looked semi-new or new. The room came with cable-tv (I didn't see that in others-more-expensive hostels), and if you stay on the 4th floor looking at the street you'll get a nice view of La Paz.||The bad things:||The bathroom displayed an awful smell coming from the sewer around after 8pm. The shower is an electrical shower, first time that I used one of those, I hated it. I don't know if it was the water pressure or that freaking electrical thing that made the water stream really, really weak and medium temperature. Not a good thing when you spend 10 days hiking through the mountains with no shower, getting into civilization expecting only two things; Food and a hot shower. I just got one of those.....So heads up. I stayed from Friday to Monday, the street where the Hostel is located is full of bars and pubs, actually there's one right next to it. If you stay on the street side, expect noise coming from those places.||||I rated it Very good only for the Location, The price, and the quietness if you're looking a nice and quiet place to rest and just chill when you get back after your days outside. That's the place. Other hostels have those 4-8-10-12-15 and even 20 people in one room, so keep that in mind that place...

La seule caractéristique positive de cet hôtel est sa situation géographique. Tout le reste est plus que médiocre. ||1er point négatif : le bruit !! Nous étions au 3eme étage dans une chambre probablement située juste au dessus d'une discothèque. Ne comptez pas dormir si vous n'avez pas de très (très) bonnes boules quies ! Les vitres de la salle de bain tremblaient au son des basses... ||La chambre sentait mauvais malgré la fenêtre ouverte (odeur venant de l'évacuation des eaux de la salle de bain ?!). Le robinet d'eau de la douche était enveloppé d'un sac plastique pour éviter l'électrocution... La température était aléatoire, un coup très chaude un coup gelée. Le rideau de douche était inutilisable, pétrifié par la crasse et le calcaire.||La clef est gardée par l'hôtel en journée mais il n'y pas pour autant de service de nettoyage durant la journée. ||Nous avons appris au moment de prendre le petit déjeuner que celui-ci n'était pas inclus dans le prix de la chambre. Il n'était pas très cher (de 14 à 19 bolivianos) mais vraiment pas terrible. Notamment le jus de fruit de saison qui est un jus en bouteille...||Le personnel n'est pas méchant mais franchement incompétent. Ne comptez pas sur eux pour avoir votre linge à l'heure (récupéré le lendemain matin au lieu du soir même car oublié par le personnel...) ou un taxi (soit-disant commandé à 9h40 et toujours pas arrivé à 10h10).||En bref : n'y allez pas. Il y a plein d'autres hôtels très...

Llegamos recomendamos por una amiga que había estado un año antes en La Paz, y pudimos confirmar lo que nos comentó desde el inicio. Se puede llegar caminando desde la terminal de buses de La Paz (no la que esta en El Alto), y esta ubicado en calle Murillo detrás de la Iglesia de San Francisco, en un sector bien central, comercial y turistico de la ciudad. Así que no fue difícil llegar.||El hostal esta un poco escondido y no se ve a simple vista, la entrada es pequeña, pero en realidad es un edificio de 4 pisos, con ascensor, seguro (cierra en la noche y sales dejas avisado cuando vuelves) con wi -fi (un poco debil la señal en algunos sectores pero funciona bien). Nos cobraron como 80 bolivianos por c/u, sin desayuno, pero esta mas que bien por lo que ofrecía y la ubicación. Las habitaciones son sencillas, limpias, con baño privado en habitacion doble estuvimos, con vista a la calle murillo, justo abajo había un local de comida y musica, pero volviamos tan cansados de recorrer que ni sentimos ruidos. ||Los chicos que atienden te ofrecen todo tipo de ayuda para ubicarte, cambio de moneda etc. Lo mejor es la ubicacación ya que para desayunar y comer esta cerca del Mercados Lanzas en la plaza San Francisco, a una cuadra del mercado de las brujas/hechicería y en la esquina suben las trufis (buses/colectivos) a la estación del teleferico (Línea roja) que va hacia El Alto, de hecho puedes volver caminando, Así que más que...
