I would not book at this hotel if I were you. These are the experiences I had while I was there:
1 - The shower does not work properly. While I was showering, the water stopped. Because it was winter, I was freezing. When the water resumed rather than warm water coming out, it was either scolding hot water or freezing cold water. That is for about 5 - 10 minutes water would come out in bursts either very hot or very cold. I felt like I was being tortured.
2 - Room was next to dining room. I was given a room in the 5th floor. Around 5:30 am the staff started preparing the area and setting up for breakfast. Being that my room was adjacent to the dining room, I was up due to the clanking of silverware and glassware. Why would they ever have a room adjacent to the dining room.
3 - Poor quality breakfast and service at dining room. Since I was already awake, I decided to get coffee. But, the coffee was not coffee, and instead, it tasted like a thick tar. It was disgusting. Next, I asked where I could order eggs, as I saw other guests eating them. The lady refused to make me eggs stating that I had not paid for them, but yet, I paid extra to have breakfast included in my stay.
As if all this were not enough, the worst part was the owner's response to my request for a refund since I clearly did not get what I bargained for: a normal shower, a full night's rest and a complete breakfast to get going in the morning.
4 - No recourse of any kind. The owners were called because I was livid. They refused to provide me with any recourse.
Please do not take your business to this hotel. As I told the manager who was the only nice part of my stay. The owners are willing to take in the profits but they fail to deliver what one pays for.
Almost forgot when you turn on the faucet, it smells like sewage which is why they have automatic perfume releasers in the rooms. The rooms would otherwise smell like a sewer!
Bad business. You...
Read moreI stayed in the hotel for almost a month (minus a few excursion nights). The location was fantastic, the room was comfortable and clean, and I loved the rooftop balcony (amazing view of the city!!) But without a doubt the best part of the hotel was the staff. The front desk gentlemen - Alvaro and Luis - were incredible - tending to my every need and trying to make sure my stay was perfect. They are both friendly, professional and helpful. Gregoria (I think that is her name) the breakfast attendant and cook was also amazing, making sure I and the other guests had everything we needed every morning (she will make you individualized eggs and fruit upon request!). The cleaning staff was amazing (sorry I didn't catch their names) - always friendly and taking care of my room in an unassuming and professional way. I would highly...
Read moreThe establishment is better described as a hostel than a hotel. The rooms are small, dimly lit, and feel neglected, with the “view” consisting of an unfinished construction site across the street, accompanied by constant noise. Only one towel is provided per room, even for two guests, and additional towels are only available upon request. Upon check-in, I was not given my change after payment; it was only returned after I noticed the error and asked for it, with the receptionist initially seeming confused about the need to provide it. Additionally, the front desk staff’s limited English made communication challenging.
The room’s heater is a small, portable unit, woefully inadequate for warming even a tiny space.
I would definitely not...
