Horrible management. I initially made a reservation through Booking.com and upon my arrival at this hotel I was greeted by an unhappy tired looking woman called Pilar. She tried to charge me the 13% tax which tourists who stay less than 30 days in Bolivia do NOT pay. She was very rude and had zero customer service. Her manager then came over and also told me I had to pay the 13% tax. This is the first hotel in Bolivia that insisted I paid it. The other hotels tried too but once I remninded them of the law they waived the taxes. An argument broke out between me and Pilar and she was very uncomfortable to deal with. It was then suggested if I canceled the original reservation with Booking.com and did not need a receipt, the hotel could then give me a 10% discount but still charge me the 13% tax. Since the 'discount' was off the hotel's rack rates the amount turned out to be the same for me as if had I kept my original reservation with Booking.com. But 5% less for the hotel than the original booking because Booking.com was left out of the picture. The hotel is very nice and clean but the management it the worst I have acome across so far in South America and the hotel is pocketing the 13% they charge all the guests. Stay away and go somewhere else. Lots of other hotels in the area who offer a better service and don't charge the...
Read moreThis hotel was booked as a last minute option when we were invited to a graduation ceremony in Sucre. We (3 of us in 1 room) stayed for four nights. The room had two single beds and one double. If there had been four of us then we would have been hard put to do anything else but live out of open suitcases as half of the small wardrobe was inaccessible due to one of the beds being in front of it. Nevertheless, the beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was a buffet style but really only offered scrambled eggs with ham as a hot dish. If you were late (9:30 am) then it was necessary to find someone to top up some of the supplies.||The hotel boasts a good restaurant (where we have eaten on previous trips) and a courtyard which offers beverages and simple snacks.||The staff were friendly and helpful and service was efficient.||I am really toying between a 4 and a 5 but there are areas where improvements could be made. Very cheap (2700 Bs for 3 persons for 4 nights) the hotel was certainly...

Wi-Fi is good.|There is room for improvement though:||- Breakfast is good, but they are slow in refilling items. We had to ask multiple times|- The blinders in our room couldnt close, when we contacted the front desk about it they told us it would be fixed the next day. The next day they were still broken, front desk told us that their staff didnt had any time to go to the hardware store today.....|- It takes about 5 mins to get hot water in the shower. Once you've set the right temperature, the water suddenly gets boiling HOT or ice cold....
