Hostal Patrimonio - Sucre — Hotel in Municipio Sucre

At check-in, the person tried to overcharge by telling us the price for a matrimonial room was 450 bolivianos. Later, we noticed the posted price at the front desk was 420. Even worse, the price online was only 350 but they refused to honor it b/c we didn't book online. I tried to ask for the 15% discount mentioned in another tripadvisor review, but no luck with that either. The room itself was very outdated with old furniture and a worn out mattress. The sheets were so thin u could see through them. That wouldn't have been a problem if they were clean, but there was hair all over the sheets and pillows. We asked for clean sheets and none could be found. We were brought the wrong size sheets twice. Then they had to strip the sheets off another bed in a different room in order to give us clean sheets that fit. It was ridiculous. That's not all. The bathroom smelled like urine b/c someone peed in the shower and no one cleaned it. The fridge was not plugged in and smelled strongly like mildew when we opened it. There were stains on the mattress and chairs. The shower head was grossly clogged with hard water deposits. The room door wouldn't shut properly without a huge effort. I could go on. This is a lovely place to stay.I spent three nights at this Hostal in April of this year 2024.It did not disappoint.The room was clean and attractive and serviced daily.Breakfast was very good and I want to mention Beatrice who assisted at breakfast each morning.....The staff at reception were equally friendly and I want to thank David,Paola and Jason...The location was just perfect-a short walk to Plaza 25 de Mayo and very close to cafes,restaurants and a laundry facility....This place was super clean and very attractive and really made my stay in Sucre very enjoyable...Top...

The hostel is located near the main square and has a pharmacy, restaurants and entertainment within a few yards.|The managers are extremely attentive and polite.|The facilities are very clean, they have plenty of hot water for the showers and their breakfast although simple is organic and very healthy.|What makes this place extra special is a roof top terrace that allows you 360° views of the old town.
