A Pleasant Stay at a Clean and Affordable Guest House with a Royal View that was definitely Julieka's guesthouse. I recently spent a couple of nights at a guest house that turned out to be a real hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, I could tell the place was well looked after. The rooms were spotless — fresh linen, clean floors, and everything in its place. What impressed me even more was that this cleanliness extended throughout the entire guest house. Whether it was the hallways, common areas, or even the outdoor seating, everything was tidy and clearly maintained with care.
One of the unexpected highlights of my stay was the view. From my room, I had a clear line of sight to the King’s Palace. Whether it was early morning light or during sunset, the view was something special — peaceful, grand, and uniquely local. It definitely added a memorable touch to the experience.
At the beginning of my stay, I didn’t feel much of a connection with the manager. He was polite, but our interactions felt a bit distant. However, that changed by the time I was leaving. We had a really warm and insightful conversation during check-out. It felt genuine — like we’d both warmed up a bit over time. It was a nice way to wrap up the trip.
Overall, if you're looking for a clean, affordable place with a great view and a peaceful vibe, this guest house is definitely worth considering. I’d...

The room really needs a clean though. The shower screen looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, there was hair in the drain and there were leftover open sachets of shampoo on top of the shower. The fridge was particularly disgusting. The fridge was also of limited use during the day because the power goes off when you leave the room so things are warm when you return but in fairness it worked well over night.
It had air con, it was ok but not the best.
Fine for a night but I wouldn't want to stay longer unless the...
Read moreAbsolutely loved my stay here at Julieka! The owner is incredibly nice, friendly, and always willing to help—even with things not related to the hotel. If you're lucky to get a room on the facade, the view of the Royal Palace is simply stunning. The rooms are basic but very spacious and clean, which was perfect for a comfortable stay. The location is unbeatable—right next to the Royal Palace and main square. Pub Street with plenty of food and drink options is just a 5-minute walk away, and there’s a supermarket and local eateries nearby. After checking 10 hotels under $20, this one is...
