Parent Heritage Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap — Hotel in Siem Reap

I stayed at this hotel for two nights January 1st and 2nd. The room was clean, which is very important to me. Yet after two nights there, my stomach, back, legs, arms, and hands were filled with bites. After the first night I thought a few mosquitoes bit me several times, but after the second night it was clear that it was bed bugs. There were way to many bites to have been mosquitoes. || When I checked out, I told the manager about the bites and showed him my hands and arms. All he said is that they spray regularly, and he was sorry I had the problem. What? Are you kidding me? The bites were so bad and swollen, I thought about going to the hospital to get it checked out. Instead I bought anti itch cream. I stayed in room 209. Like I said, the hotel and rooms appeared clean. I was very surprised that the manager didn’t offer any kind of compensation for the horrible experience I encountered. I’m still itching and not happy about...

I was initially quite happy with this hotel - ||Comfortable twin beds (but stain spots on the sheets and pillow cases??)||Very quiet air conditioning||Great shower||Friendly helpful staff||Lovely pool and area around it, with sun and also shaded seating||Short easy walk to Pub Street||||There is no jug in the room to make tea/coffee, you have to buy coffee downstairs.||The rooms are not soundproof||||Then we made an unpleasant discovery – something I had heard about, but never seen. ||Bed bugs! - I know that’s what they were because I googled it and have the bites to prove it! ||The stains on the pillow cases and sheets were from previous unfortunate guests being bitten.||||When we told the two sweet and friendly staff at reception, they didn't have a clue what we were talking about.||||We checked out of this hotel post haste and hope we haven’t brought any unwelcome critters...

What a dump. When we got there they assured us if we needed anything just call. Well we called. They at least brought some more toilet paper. The T.V. was tiny and the screen is ruined. The air-conditioning can not be left running as they only have 1 key. I do no beleave!! Their in room safe was not even bolted in. So just grab and go. The so called breakfast? 2 egg omelet with nothing it. And a old peice of bread. Could not sleep at all!! As air-conditioning does nothing! They could have cared less.
