If there’s a pinnacle of sushi perfection, I have found it. This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a temple of flavor, a shrine to culinary craftsmanship, and a gift to anyone lucky enough to walk through its doors.
From the moment I entered, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, a perfect balance of elegance and comfort. But the real magic began with the food.
The miso soup was more than just a starter—it was a masterpiece in a bowl. Rich, umami-packed broth with the perfect balance of savory depth and delicate tofu—every spoonful felt like a warm embrace.
Then came the gyozas, little pockets of pure bliss. The crisp, golden-brown exterior gave way to a filling so flavorful, I swear I saw the heavens open. Each bite was a symphony of textures, the perfect harmony of crunch and tenderness, of savory and slightly sweet.
And then—the sushi rolls. Words barely do them justice. Each piece was a revelation, a work of edible art. The rice was flawless, the fish impossibly fresh, the balance of flavors so perfectly calibrated that I felt like I was tasting sushi for the first time. Every bite melted in my mouth, an explosion of taste so divine it might as well have been hand-delivered by the sushi gods themselves.
This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience, a journey into the heights of gastronomic bliss. If you love sushi, if you love food, if you love living—do yourself a favor and go. Immediately.

Read moreUpdate 2- Went here May 14, 2023. It was busy as it was Mother's day but the staff did their best and served up another great meal. 3rd time visiting Canmore and 3rd time I've been happy with my meal here.
Decided to go here on spur of the moment just driving by. They're in Canmore and have their own parking which is a nice plus.
Service was fast and friendly and we order miso soup 2.50, vegetable tempura 12.00, salmon roll and California roll about 6.00 each.
The miso soup is your standard fare with small bits of tofu. For 2.50 it's priced about right, next came the vegetable tempura - it came with two broccoli, one asparagus, two sliced carrot, one kambucha pumpkin and one sweet potato. The batter is very light and expertly cooked. It was VERY good. The last to come were the two rolls- they are both 8 pieces although on the smaller side which is more than reasonable for the price point. Cali roll was just ok and the salmon roll was a little better with a generous amount of salmon in the middle.
Place is super clean and we'll appointed.
A five star review when taking into the price. Be warned that what we ordered were some of the cheapest items on menu and other items can get very expensive.
Update to 5 stars- Came back a second time in 2021. Still just as good and the service is top notch. Couldn't be happier to support such a nice...
Read moreThis place is awful ! I initially wrote my review on Yelp but they must have paid Yelp to delete it. I'm writing my review again because of the horrible racism I experienced while dining at this "establishment".
Two years ago my boyfriend, who is Korean, and I came here to dine on some sushi and sashimi. As we're an interracial couple (I'm white) we're used to receiving the occasional look or stare but I've never experienced the humiliation that I did while eating here. After we placed our order I'm aware that the Korean chefs are glaring at us disapprovingly from their kitchen that's open to the public. Already I'm feeling uncomfortable but I shake it off as we had just ordered. Halfway through our meal I get up to use the restroom and the chefs actually stop what they're doing to glare at me and make loud and audible "tsk tsk" noises as I walk down the hall. I looked up to see one actually give me a dirty look and roll his eyes. When I returned I told my boyfriend to ask for the bill as this type of service from any establishment is disgusting and unwarranted.
I have never been so embarrassed or ashamed while eating before and will never return here. I've also told my friends and family about my horrible experience here.
