Empress Inn and Suites by Elevate Rooms — Hotel in Niagara Falls

The people who own this hotel are scam artists. They accused my gf and I of not returning the key, even though they initially refunded me my deposit after RETURNING THE KEY, while I was in the Jacuzzi bath the air register fell out of the wall due to the vibration of the jets and almost smoked me in the head, they said we removed and broke it even though it could have just been placed back in the wall by anybody with half a brain, they threw in how they thought we broke the washroom door, wrong again, we are a young couple not a bunch of savages, and despite there being non smoking signs up, and us having an ashtray on the balcony infront of the room, THEY CHARGED US FOR SMOKING IN OUR ROOM $250. They said they could have charged us $500, what a joke the whole room doesn't even contain $500 worth of anything. The one valid thing they said is that we dirtied the sheets, AND CHARGED US DAMAGE WHEN THEY COULD WASH IN HOT WATER WITH A TOUCH OF BLEACH. We saw a couple who live there having sex against their window on the bottom floor, the AC in the wall pretty much allows people to listen to and possibly see you in your room, the stairs leading up to the rooms are uneven and dangerous(especially the elderly and people wearing high heels), our Jacuzzi tub had a little gathering of brown dirt in the bottom when we got there, the week earlier my kids found marijuana roaches in our room and popcorn behind the sidetables, coffee in the reception area was like garbage water. This hotel picks on the little guy and I don't want it to happen to anyone else. If I wanted to spend $350 on a room I would have brought my whole family and went to a way nicer hotel with a package for activities ESPECIALLY NEAR CHRISTMAS. I'm sorry, but they use people who live there to clean and if those people don't want to vacuum and scrub tubs and they think its out of the ordinary to clean a hotel room after people then maybe they should go to a temp agency. This review will no doubt cost them more than just MY business, but well over what they charged me in made up fees from other customers who want to protect their wallets. I've been to hundreds of hotels in many cities and this was a unique experience. I hate to say it, because I'm partially Indian, but this is nothing more than typical scamming by immigrants pretending to be dumb and taking advantage of people they don't know. They keep deleting my review.||||If I can give a no star at all that is what this 2 star hotel is best describe.||-2 star hotel!||We booked the room from the website last April 9 2022 and emailed management at empress inn. Our room #305 located at the top floor right hand side of the frontdesk building. We checked in late and we informed the frontdesk about it. Fast forward, I got in first to our room bec my bf went out to grab some snacks and lay down in the bed. It seemed fine at first BUT when we are about to sleep you can literally hear the bed squeaking even with a very light movement. At this point we did not bother calling or going back to the front desk because it was already 2am and we don't want to walk from third flr to the front office considering that there's no elevator.||2nd issue: heater is not working properly. It goes on and off so we had to sleep in our sweaters and socks on!!!||Third. we noticed early morning that there are insects like cockroaches and i dont know what else inside the washroom and on top of the window.||WE GOT A COUPLE OF BITES!||WE EMAILED PRICE LINE AS THE FRONT OFFICE SUGGESTED BUT THEY DIDN'T TAKE OUR CONCERN SERIOUSLY.||They emailed us saying they checked everything and no insects found plus photos are not matching the washroom. like you can really see the tiles are the same from what i sent and what they sent me. They are certain that room is clean and safe of course you guys already cleaned the room before sending photos.||see attached photos from me and the one priceline sent me (tile and bowl photo)||Please, if you guys don't think this is not a serious concern, you shouldn't be in the business. As a traveller, it is very important to have a good and comfortable place to stay for a short period of time. Even if it's a little bit cheap nobody deserved to experience it.||NOW NOBODY EVEN CARE TO RESPOND TO MY EMAIL. WORST PLACE TO STAY, WORST...
