STAY OR NOT TO STAY? 🏨❓ NO PETS ALLOWED We booked FALLS LODGE AND SUITES through Booking.com and paid the full amount for two nights. 🏨💳 As usual, I called to confirm details like parking, room preferences, and early check-in. A staff member told me parking was $10 per night, all rooms had balconies, and we could check in early if the room was ready, at no extra charge. This reassured us before arriving. 😌📞
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Mr. Karthik, who informed us that although the room was ready, checking in at 1:00 p.m. would cost $30. 😕 Alternatively, we could wait until 2:00 p.m. and check in for free, as check-in officially starts at 3:00 p.m. We showed him the email from the staff, confirming early check-in without fees, but he was reluctant to honor it and insisted on the charge. 😬📧
After some discussion, and as we were about to leave and return at 2:00 p.m., I asked about the parking fee. He then said parking would be $20 per night—contradicting the $10 I was told earlier. 😳🚗 After I explained this, he reluctantly lowered it to $10 and allowed us to check in at 1:00 p.m. without extra charges.🙌 THANKS, MR. KARTHIK, FOR ACCOMMODATING US!😊
AFTER CHECKING IN, BULAT, A WARM AND FRIENDLY STAFF MEMBER, went out of his way to set up chairs and a table outside our second-floor room. My husband could enjoy a whiskey and cigarette on the balcony, which was a key reason we booked the motel. 🥃🚬💺
The room and bathroom were very clean, and the property was well-maintained. We chose this motel because my husband, celebrating his birthday 🎉, loves sitting on a balcony to smoke, and they accommodated this perfectly. The provided table and chairs allowed us to relax and chat with other guests enjoying the outdoor space. 🪑🌿
The location is another plus. It’s 700 meters from the casino and Margaritaville, and just a short walk to Horseshoe Falls. Several shops and restaurants are nearby, including Tim Hortons, which we loved for morning coffee. ☕🍁 While our stay was enjoyable, a few things could improve. The bathroom could use more counter space for toiletries and a few hooks for towels. The towels provided were small, so if you prefer larger ones, I suggest bringing your own. 🚿🛁
For longer stays, the limited storage means you’ll likely need to keep your clothes in your suitcase. The room is on the smaller side, and the bed isn’t a true king size. 📦🛏️ If you plan to watch The motel offers plenty of parking, and the lot is well-lit and secure. However, parking costs $20 per night. 🚗💡 Despite this, the property’s exterior and our room were clean, well-maintained, and inviting. 🌸 The navy blue carpet was clean and free from unpleasant odors. I appreciated that the window could be opened slightly for fresh air. The curtains, also navy blue, were clean and well-maintained. Smoking isn’t allowed inside, but is permitted on the balcony, which we appreciated. 🌬️🚪 Overall, while we had a few hiccups during check-in, the motel is clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is excellent. Make sure to confirm all details ahead of time to avoid unexpected charges or issues. It’s important to be aware of potential inconsistencies and speak up if something seems off. Double-check your details and be prepared for surprises. 📝👍 DEFINITELY, WE WILL RETURN TO THIS PROPERTY FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: Friendly and accommodating staff – Bulat went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. 💯🙌 Perfect for balcony relaxation – My husband loved having a place to enjoy his whiskey and cigarette outside. 🥃🚬 Great location – Close to the casino, Margaritaville, the falls, and various shops and restaurants, including our favorite, Tim Hortons. ☕🍁 Clean and well-maintained – The room, bathroom, and entire property were spotless and inviting. 🌸🧼 Peaceful and secure environment – The atmosphere was peaceful, and the secure parking gave us peace...
Read moreWARNING. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!! The rooms appear clean off first hand however we're FILTHY!! We ignored many minor issues and complained of our biggest and most HEALTH HAZARDOUS issues we endured. We could NOT afford to change hotels as we were homeless, had 20*$ Left in our bank account and would not have been able to handle cancelation fees on top of a new deposit and room at another hotel. The staff were informed SEVERAL times about allergen and asthma issues. They continued to VOICE concerns but need constant reminders to FIX the issues. They deny all accountability and dodged us for a month when trying to seek a resolution with a manager. They claim I did not disclose all of the issues, however upon check out I came to them with a very detailed list and was blown off. I have many screen shots and 5 other eye witnesses including a health nurse who saw the rooms condition and agreed it was not safe for a healthy adult, let alone immuno compromised adults and a 3YEAR OLD.. They did not take us or our complaints seriously and refused to get in touch for a resolution until a lwaywr was involved. The hotel is now forcing us to court in order to resolve our issues. We got severly sick while there. We would have left, had we have been able to afford it. Instead; we were treated like any other money filled tourist even with specification of homelessness. They did not take allergies, mold toxicity, dust, or asthma seriously. When I accidentally locked myself out while my son was getting ready to hop into a running bath; I had to press the urgency to the staff member at the front desk as she just seemed unbothered and didn't understand the urgency of an AUTISTIC THREE YEAR OLD left ALONE with RUNNING WATER. By the time I got her on board and to join me; I had made it back to the room as my son opened the door to see where I had been the last almost 10 minutes. She seemed non chalant about the whole ordeal. We had to throw out food due to spoilage with fridge mold and issues in replacing it; to which we were only offered to pass our spoiled goods over to them to throw out. That was it. I had 2 shars of glass in me, one in my hand and one in my foot; from the improper room maintenance. I do not blame housekeeping, I blame management for not properly training or equipping thier staff with the means to properly clean a room. However, I, the guest; should NOT have had to INSTRUCT my housekeeper in how to clean my room to public health standards; for it to still be improperly cleaned. The hotel made me chase them for a month and still don't see how they are at fault for avoiding accountability as "you stayed your whole visit" yes. Because I'm homeless and could not AFFORD to leave. They keep ignoring key note in both conversation, note taking, and emails with picture proof. We will be taking this hotel to court for a full refund, health endangerment, court costs, and the stress we have been forced to endure due to the games the hotel wished to play with us; instead of connecting me with a manager as I had asked the very day I left. They are dodgy and will refuse you any information. They will take your information promising you'll hear from someone but you never will. I dont know if they are being racist or stingy. All I know is my family and I are pale white; and our issues were ignored and dismissed and prolonged for even a partial resolve such as sweeping the floor.
If you value your family and thier health; this hotel is not for you. Look behind your beds; look in the window sills. Examine your faucets and nozzles. Look under the ac. Check the fridge and freezer for mold. Dim lighting is no excuse for a health hazard...
Read moreDon't waste you money. Terrible customer service. I'd give zero stars if I could.
We arrived at 5:30 PM to a very cold room. The smoke detector was beeping every 30 seconds and we tried to male it stop by pulling the battery but that didnt work, we advised the front desk when we left for dinner, to please fix it. We then came back 3 hours later and nothing was done. ( it just needed a new battery!!) We then had to remove the detector ourselves (which was dangerous with all the wires) and gave it to the front desk. She says, a repair guy was coming at 10, we figure 10am - not PM.... Guy shows up at our room at 10:30pm (no call, and bangs on the door twice) but we are sleeping in bed, no lights on nothing, and still he keeps knocking??. My husband opens the door and says we're sleeping and to come back the following day. The guy now is arguing with my husband to fix it now and says something to the effect "I'll know if your smoking in there"... my husband then closed the door on him after several minutes of arguing. We don't smoke... The next day, we were told he would be coming back to fix the alarm, she says 1 hour.... but 1 hour came and went. It was finally fixed when we returned later in the evening. The next day our key card doesn't work and we make 3 trips back and forth from the office because they were too lazy to come see what the problem was... the battery died on the door. We came back later that night and couldn't get back in again!!!! We were finally let in manually. We ask that we pick up the new card tomorrow as we are going to bed.... what does she do? Comes back and bangs on the door with another key card as we are in bed. Like really???
We all know shit happens.... but we weren't treated nicely at all and the customer service was the worst. We are not fussy people either. We did ask for free parking to offset the crazy waste of time for all this when we should have been relaxing, not trying to fix their doors and alarms.
Needless to say, we were not given our 40 dollars back for parking as a good gesture either. Bad business....
We will never stay at this place again.
Obviously no one knows how to use a phone either and when you ask a question about something, they don't even respond and if they do, it's not even an answer to what you ask.
Terrible!!!!! Don't rent a...
