We never really take the time to write reviews but for this location, I think it needs a review so people know what might happen and what to watch out for. We booked a room for our family to enjoy our time in Niagara, our booking was breakfast and free parking included. When we arrived to Days inn Wind ham Falls view on time of check in, there was a long line after waiting almost an hour we came up with an OVER BOOKED issue. We tried checking in however the lady there took us outside so none of the other people in line would hear us.. (a little suspicious) the lady said they had good news for us and they would be accommodate us to HILTON hotel right in front of the days inn hotel because they randomly pick customers and reward them by sending them to Hilton Hotels, and the lady also gave us 2 vouchers for Apple bee's and Frontier BBQ and smokehouse $15 for each. When we got to Hilton hotel they charged us $25 + tax for parking when Days inn should have covered that for us when it was their fault for being over booked and sending us somewhere else. In the morning we were all excited to have a nice breakfast however when we got to the 33rd floor of Hilton's hotel we paid on our own expense for breakfast, another sign of their scam, again they should have covered for us because it was Days inn's fault we were transferred because they were over booked. Lunch time comes around and we want to use the vouchers so we went to Apple bee's and ordered drinks and when we wanted to use the voucher the waitress told us the voucher could only be used if we ordered 2 course meals of DAYS INN's CHOICE so we couldn't even eat something we liked. We said no problem and decided to go to Frontier BBQ and Smokehouse because again Days Inn provided us with a voucher for the restaurant. The hostess let us know the voucher can only be used when each of us eats a 2 course meal and then they could give 15 bucks off, so we left the restaurant and did not eat there. We ended up having a nice lunch some place else and turned our day around however this location of Days Inn are scammers. We are clients of days inn and go to their hotels in different cities but we had never seen days inn scam their clients this bad... I suspect they have allies that when they are over booked they send people to Hilton hotel and ally with Apple bee's and Frontier BBQ and Smokehouse making all three restaurant and hotel look bad especially for Hilton hotel when they were involved in the scam it is embarrassing for such a nice classy hotel to be in business with such people. If you had a similar experience...
Read moreThis is my second time staying at this hotel and sadly, I don’t think I will book at this specific location again! I ONLY have the location 5 stars because it’s walking distance to the Niagara Convention Centre, which is where the event I needed to attend was held. Sure the price is great but I’d rather pay a little (or a lot) more for better customer service!
My daughter had her cheer competition at the convention centre and I only needed 1 night. I paid for my room through Expedia so I didn’t have to worry about the cost. Mind you, I work for Air Canada so I know exactly how hotels and reservations worked! Anyways, I went to check in and the lady that was there informed me about the $150 security deposit if I paid by credit card OR $250 deposit if I paid by debit/cash. Please understand that I HAVE NO ISSUES paying for the deposit! My issue was they proceeded to tell me that I couldn’t tap my card and/or take the deposit from the card on file! The only other card I had was RBC which is a visa-debit and instead of charging the $150 it could’ve been $250. Then they said I could take out cash from the ATM… I was not going to give a $250 deposit for a $100 dollar room/night…and the room was already paid for. I was told that there was NOTHING they could do to help me…I was also told that it’s in their policy that I needed my physical card with me and the exact amount was stated on Expedia. IT WAS NOT - I asked to see where it states that in their policy and it wasn’t there…it only says I could pay by certain cards. No where in their policy or the website did it say I needed my physical card and the amount they needed for the deposit.
I asked if they can type my credit card in manually and the lady agreed….however she says it wasn’t working….but if I could try tapping my Apple Card again to charge the $150 deposit. When I checked my statement it should say pending charge or $150 hold….but instead the front desk CHARGED my card and asked me to come back during check out so they can refund me. At this point I was exhausted and upset so I agreed to just get the refund! ….the next morning I did exactly what I was told, I tapped my card for the refund and left the hotel.
Tell me WHY I go check my statement and the refund wasn’t done!!!! I can’t even dispute it because it’s been less than 15 days.
I’m so upset right now. Someone from corporate please contact me! There’s no email on their website, only a phone number which will only lead me to the front desk. I would like this issue to be rectified with the...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Days Inn in Niagara Falls, and I must say it was an incredibly uncomfortable and frustrating stay. From the moment I arrived, the check-in process was an absolute nightmare. There was a long wait at the door, with no staff in sight to assist with the process. The manager seemed too preoccupied with their own conversation, completely disregarding the poor presence of leadership and the chaos that ensued.
To make matters worse, despite having already paid for the entire stay in advance, I was overcharged on my credit card without any prior notification. It was only when I discovered the unauthorized charges myself that the hotel staff informed me about a supposed "system glitch" and assured me that I would get my money back in 10 business days. This lack of transparency and poor communication is completely unacceptable.
Moreover, the hotel failed to mention anywhere that parking was not free, leading to an unexpected expense. Additionally, they advertised breakfast as included, it is not something they serve at a place grab and go how ever wait in line ,,from 10am to 10.25 to realised that's over at 10am . This resulted in a frustrating experience of waiting in line for breakfast, only to find out that I might lose the opportunity altogether if they were busy checking in other guests. It was a disorganized mess that left me hungry and disappointed.
Moving on to the room itself, while it was passable, the cleanliness left much to be desired. The toilet bowl was dark and clearly not properly cleaned, which was a major turn-off. Adding insult to injury, there were not enough towels provided for a booking intended for four guests. It's astonishing that such basic necessities were overlooked.
To top it all off, there were bugs crawling all over the tables and even worse, an air conditioner that appeared to be infested with flying insects. This level of neglect and lack of maintenance is simply unacceptable.
I must emphasize that I rarely write reviews of this nature, but my experience at Days Inn in Niagara Falls was genuinely one of the most pathetic stays I have ever endured. The combination of poor customer service, hidden charges, lack of communication, cleanliness issues, and general disorganization made it an unforgettable and truly disappointing experience. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel if you value comfort, cleanliness, and a smooth...
