HOTEL SONETTO — Hotel in Recoleta

This hotel does not deserve some of the reviews that have been posted on here.

My honest review of the hotel is that you get what you pay for… and a bit more on top! The reviews weren’t great but the prices were reasonable so we booked 3 nights and prepared for the worst.

Upon arrival, the outside of the hotel and the lobby/communal spaces were nicely furnished and well-kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The initial room we were put in was large and clean with a Smart TV and a wardrobe. We had an issue with the WiFi due to the location of the room so we were swiftly moved to another, which was the same as the first.

The bathrooms were average but the prices reflect this! You have a working shower with good pressure and hot water. It was a little slow to drain and the bathroom needs some towel hooks but these are minor issues overall. Our room was cleaned daily.

The most bizarre aspect of the hotel is breakfast but we were fully prepared for this so again, it wasn’t an issue. Every day you get a sandwich (one day ham and cheese, then chicken salad and finally salami) with 2 pieces of fruit, a slice of cake, yoghurt, a small cereal pot plus drinks. It would be nice to have a buffet breakfast but for the equivalent of £18 a night for a room and breakfast you cannot complain.

The location is a short walk to the other side of the river in a nice, safe area and yes, there are homeless people near to the hotel but there’s no need to be judgemental because of this, it’s no one’s fault, including the people who have to live in those conditions in the first place.

Overall, it’s a lovely hotel and it deserves a higher rating than it has. If you stay here and you have any issues as we did, you can speak to them on reception or WhatsApp via the number they provide and they will certainly...

Personal de recepción mal educados, prepotentes,apaticos,no ayudan a los visitantes, NO SIRVEN COMO RECEPCIONISTAS. NOS ROBARON,NOS QUEBRARON EL PARABRISAS DEL AUTO en el estacionamiento afuera del hotel, a 2 metros del hotel y nadie ayudo o se preocupo, tampoco avisaron. Se hicieron el desentendido, se solicito ver las cámaras de seguridad y se negaron, dando escusas, hasta que UNA VIEJA TEÑIDA RUCIA, señalo en todo momento que EL HOTEL NO SE HACE RESPONSABLES POR ROBO, aún así ninguna preocupación por el visitante o por hospedarse ahí. Finalmente antes de irnos, le ocurrio lo mismo a otro vehículo que se hospedaba ahí. Por lo que no me extrañaría que haya algún tipo de complot o ayuda entre estos ladrones y el hotel. Así que tengan cuidado, NO DEJEN SU AUTOMOVIL AHÍ y el hospedaje tampoco no ayudo mucho, aire acondicionado defectuoso, no hay armarios, caja fuerte nunca funciono, mucha calor en la habitación, y en ningún caso hospedense ahí si van en familia, queda cerca del centro de santiago, pero el lugar es muy peligroso, drogadictos durante la noche, y menos pasear en la noche. LO VAN A LAMENTAR, precio por calidad, NO....y el desayuno , es UN desayuno por persona establecido, sin cambio o repetición. Y si van, saluden a la VIEJA TEÑIDA RUCIA, que es mal educada y prepotente.

Funcionários da recepção pouco educados, arrogantes, apáticos, não auxiliam os visitantes, NÃO SERVEM COMO RECEPCIONISTAS. ELES NOS ROUBARAM, QUEBRARAM O PARA-BRISA DO CARRO no estacionamento em frente ao hotel, a 2 metros do hotel e ninguém ajudou ou se importou, nem nos avisaram. Fingiram que não entenderam, pediram para ver as câmeras de segurança e recusaram, dando desculpas, até que UMA VELHA TINTA RUCIA, apontou a todo momento que O HOTEL NÃO É RESPONSÁVEL POR ROUBO, ainda não há preocupação com o visitante ou por ficar ali hospedado . Finalmente, antes de partirmos, aconteceu o mesmo com outro veículo que ali estava. Portanto, não ficaria surpreso se houvesse algum tipo de conspiração ou ajuda entre esses ladrões e o hotel. Então tome cuidado, NÃO DEIXE SEU CARRO LÁ e a hospedagem também não ajudou muito, ar condicionado com defeito, sem armários, cofre nunca funcionou, muito calor no quarto, e em nenhum caso fique lá se for com família, fica perto do centro de Santiago, mas o local é muito perigoso, viciado em drogas à noite, e menos ainda andando à noite. VOCÊ VAI SE ARREPENDER, preço pela qualidade, NÃO....e o café da manhã, é UM café da manhã estabelecido por pessoa, sem alteração ou repetição. E se você for, diga olá para a VELHA DYED RUCIA, que é mal educada e arrogante.

The reception staff who are rude, arrogant, apathetic, do not serve visitors, DO NOT SERVE AS RECEPTIONISTS. THEY ROBBED US, THEY BROKE THE WINDSHIELD OF THE CAR in the parking lot in front of the hotel, 2 meters from the hotel and no one helped us or cared, nor did they notify us. They pretended not to understand, asked to see the security cameras and refused, making excuses, until AN OLD INK RUCIA, pointed out at all times that THE HOTEL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT, there is still no concern for the visitor or for staying there. . Finally, before leaving, the same thing happened to another vehicle that was there. So I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of conspiracy or help between these thieves and the hotel. So be careful, DON'T LEAVE THE CAR THERE and the accommodation didn't help much either, defective air conditioning, no lockers, safe never worked, too hot in the room, and in no case stay there if you go with family. It is close to the center of Santiago, but the place is very dangerous, drug addicts at night and even less walking at night. YOU WILL REGRET IT, price quality, NO....and breakfast, it is ONE established breakfast per person, without changes or repetition. And if you go say hello to OLD TINTED RUCIA who is rude...

Probably should've taken a hint from the ~3 stars review on Google before staying here. While the location is good, that's about the only thing that's good. Receptionists were friendly too, breakfast was decent as well but it's not a buffet - got a sandwich, cup of yogurt, and fruit. Initial room I got had broken lights. I got a new room which was slightly smaller. It was extremely run-down and dingy, window was to the restaurant which I thought was super weird. Bed mattress and pillows were super soft, no outlets next to the bed. The light was also pretty dim, it didn't feel comfortable staying here. There were also a ton of drain flies in the room, which was unpleasant and uncomfortable as well. Shower drain didn't work, stood in my shower water while I was showering. The shower was too small and the curtain kept touching me which was...
