Hotel albamar (Viña del mar, Chile) — Hotel in Viña del Mar

My husband and I live in Santiago and came to Viña for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. This hotel was perfect for a quick getaway to the beach- the location couldn't be beat and the price was within our budget. Our room was clean and sufficient- mini fridge, cable tv, spacious bathroom, and the bed was comfy. The continental breakfast was delicious and helped us save money on food- coffee/tea, cereal, yogurt, toast, fresh fruit, fruit juice, lunch meats & cheese, and scrambled eggs. We have stayed in this hotel twice and when we visit Chile early next year, we will stay here again for a couple of nights. The hotel is situated in a terrific spot, close to cafes, the casino, beach and shopping centres. It's also good value for money. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The rooms we've had were clean and the beds comfortable. The facilities are basic, if it's 5 star you want, then don't stay here. But For a couple of nights in Vina, I would highly recommend...

Me alojé en este hotel por 4 noches en junio 2023, existen 3 tipos de habitaciones, con anterioridad me quedé en la que denominan ejecutiva y esta vez en la estándar (50 mil la noche 2 personas) no pensé nunca que la diferencia sería tan drástica y desafortunada elección. La habitación estándar no tiene aire acondicionado (me parece que la ejecutiva tampoco) hay un calentador eléctrico, las toallas dejaron de ser blancas hace muuuchos lavados, lamparas de velador están oxidadas, la señal de tv por cable no es nítida, alfombra de la habitación rota y manchada, mal olor en la habitación (a pesar de ventilar y pedir que aplicarán un spray, el olor persistió) la base de la cama resulta de una solución ingeniosa pero le quita elegancia (adjunto foto). Y el desayuno que no es malo, al día 3 ya lo odiaba, es todos los dias lo mismo, posillo fruta (granos de uva, piña kiwi, frutilla) plato pan, mantequilla/mermelada y un platito con 3 mitades de una lámina de jamón /queso y un vaso de jugo. Agua caliente y leche debes pedir que la sirvan. Es un hotel con una ubicación privilegiada y los invitaría a mejorar las habitaciones, está a la vista que no han priorizado...
