Cuzco Sabores — Restaurant in Viña del Mar

Our initial plans were to eat elsewhere, but when we found out they close early on Sundays we had to find another place - it couldn’t have worked out any better. We had an amazing experience at Cuzco Sabores. The waitstaff was super friendly, the atmosphere felt high-end, and the food was excellent. We started with the empanadas (even though my pictures shows four, there were six - ate two too soon). The spicy sauce that was served with the (warm) bread was a perfect compliment. I got the surf and turf cheese and spinach ravioli, which also came with a tender fillet covered in butterflied shrimp and oyster sauce. My wife got the fettuccine with bolognese sauce and a thick tuna steak. Both dishes were done to perfection. Cuzco Sabores is one of the many Peruvian restaurants in the area featuring two floors and four outdoor tables. The menu is extensive covering all of the classics of Peruvian cuisine. The pollo a la orange ($10.450 pesos) was moist and tangy with just the right balance. The lomo saltado ($11.220 pesos) was juicy and perfectly cooked. The portions are generous and large. The service was friendly and efficient with the suggested 10% service charge more than justified. The only area for improvement (and the only reason for not giving five stars) is the limited variety of non-alcoholic drinks. Este ha sido el peor local de comida que he probado. La atencion horrible, demoraron mas de 30 minutos en atendernos, estando bastante vacio. Pedimos 3 jugos que demoraron mucho mas en llegar que los platos, además tenían pésimo sabor, ambos, el de fresa y chirimoya. En alguna ocasión el o la chef hacia sonar la campana avisando que el pedido estaba listo de forma repetitiva e insistente haciendo que la camarera terminara discutiendo por demorar en llegar, teniendo que explicarle que estaba tomando una orden porque aunque habían camareras no hacían los pedidos, por lo tanto ella hacia miles de funciones y todas tardes, provocando que cuando ella llegaba a buscar la comida ésta ya estaba helada! Pero super helada!! El jugo de la foto estaba asqueroso, tenía sabor a tierra, sin embargo, era tanta la desorganización que los 3 jugos llegaron antes que los platos que llegaban super frios, no obstante, los platos eran de buen tamaño, tenian buen sabor y aunque la carne se pidió 3/4 llegó recocida estaba relativamente bien, frío recocida pero buena cantidad por el valor. Sin embargo jamas lo recomendaría, jamas me había topado con un local tan desagradable. Habían personas atrás de nosotros q se fueron, nosotros pensamos en irnos pero quisimos conocer ese local tan nombrado, por otro lado todos los utensilios de la mesa donde pusieron las salsas estaban quebrados, trizados y dañados d alguna forma! No lo podíamos creer! Como alguien evaluó bien un local super poco profesional y que por lo demás no era barato! No vas a que te regalen lo que consumes! Porque...
