One of the so many apartments transformed in multi room guesthouses. Reasonably clean and convenient located. Sheets and towels are quite fine and the minimalist decoration, although not stylish nor even cosy, at least is not overwhelmingly shabby like in the majority of these places. The weak point definitely is in the management and it reflects on the service. The receptionist does not speak Chinese in any variation nor English and only can repeat some "prerecorded" (and badly "distorted") message. The cleaning people do not know to tie the hairs and hairs appear here and there in a otherwise reasonable clean environment. The reception is only available from 9:00 to 23:00 but despite waiting 20 minutes for the receptionist at 9:40 and calling at my cost with international SIM card the number left to ask for service, There was no way to properly checkout and I had to simply throw the room key on the floor in front of the closed office, so that the surveillance camera could verify that I actually returned at the best of the given possibilities. The call was answered by someone unable to articulate any of the statutory languages in the Hong Kong SAR, nobody came and no instruction were given apart of a message on the key card stating that the key must be returned to the front desk or will be charged with penalty.I am monitoring and if any penalty is charged to my Chinese credit card I call 12345, the complain service of the government in China, and ask a thorough review of the business practices of trip.com about qualifying the...
Read moreThe worst hotel experience in Hong Kong – avoid at all costs! We paid $70 per night and got the most disgusting experience imaginable. I honestly have no idea how anyone could leave a positive review here – either they are fake or those people don’t value their health. The photos online have absolutely nothing to do with reality. We couldn’t even stay for one night – we left immediately. Right next to the elevator there was a sign saying “Close the door or rats might run in.” Seriously?!🐀🐀🐀When we entered the room, my wife was on the verge of tears: mold and fungus everywhere on the walls, a strong smell of dampness and rot, walls cracked and peeling, dirt everywhere, rusty bathroom fixtures, and a shower that sprays water in all directions. The air was so unpleasant we couldn’t breathe normally inside.🦨🤢🤮This is pure scam, and Trip.com should remove this property from their listings. The real value of this room is no more than $10 – and even then only as an emergency shelter during a disaster.Absolutely do...
Read moreThe one by Lee gardens road is poor in customer service.I'm not a local and when I'm in need of simple services such as asking for directions(written in Chinese/Cantonese),I expect the hotel personels to atleast lend a hand.Unfortunately for me,the front desk didn't even want to look at me.I even spoke in their language and had to specify that I was their customer but nothing, the Chinese lady in a black suit looked like she wanted nothing to do to help my cause. Lastly, the cleaning lady who had seen my disappointment told me to “try in Sogo”,a place I had no idea about, but hey I'm grateful to her for wanting me to feel better. As a black man who‘s lived in China mainland before,I have gone through scenarios similar to this one multiple times but I didn't expect the same here, well I guess the...
