Golden Island Hotel — Hotel in Hong Kong

To start with this is not a hotel only the name. Look at the dangling wires, there’s construction going on and everything is messy. When you get there you’ll see this very old building from world war 2 I think. They just rented this place on the 7th floor and oh boi! Even the lifts are very old looks like it’s going to break anytime. The hotel room is stinky and toilet is so small and dirty. There are stains on the wall we immediately talked to the staff that we’re cancelling our booking as this place is very miserable. Unfortunately they did not refund after I told them that this place is not fit for human to stay. They told me to talk to Trip.Com instead but they still refused to refund. Me and my mom immediately phoned Silka hotel if they have available room and they told us we can book right away for the last room through this website. Lucky enough we didn’t stay in this disgusting place. This is a junk shop! Book at your own risk! I never never never book this junk shop ever again! Waste of time to travel there from Macau. This is the worst accommodation I have seen in my entire life my God I travelled to so many countries both in Asia and Europe. Don’t trust the pics from this hotel or else you’ll regret it! It’s not worth the price they advertise, so many better hotels at this price...

Central location. That’s pretty much it for the positive part of the review.We were assigned a room in which the toilet was not working properly. After complaining, we were changed to another room that had a bathroom with 3 cocroaches (a big mummy cocroach and 2 little crocrey). I killed them all.The floor was full of human (or I hope it was) hair. The bed sheets from the larger bed was stained and had ashes on top. I complained but was told that they were clean and the problem was that the stains were actually on the mattress underneath. Great answer, by the way.Not to forget the construction works at the building. All the floors were dusty and full of broken furniture. My favourite was a broken toilet full of black dirt next to the elevator on the 7th floor.I’ll never forget this experience. Life-changing.PD: I still do not understand the high rating from some of the hotels bookes at trip.com. I never had those experiences using *. Even if the hotels in trip.com are cheaper, there should be a minimum level of cleaness and comfort. After 1 month travelling only using this platform to book for hotels, I’m disappointed. If any of your trip.com employees read this, I hope it makes you rethink the type of accomodations you offer on...

Very poor facilities,,,,,even though the lady in charge is nice but some of the rooms are reek of smoking smells which affected my kids ( the can't get a good night sleep ) ,, The location is perfect which is near to MTR stns,,,restaurants,, Temple street night market n also a convenient bus ride to airport A21 ( just a 2-mins walk from hotel ) hitting the departure hall @ T1 Toilets facilities is bad ,,,,, they have 3 elevators running in the day but only 1 is running after 7pm bcos the security uncle turns off service so is kinda of long wait to get into it bcos is pretty small carrier to load much ppls Might not consider staying there again if will to...
