Manakamana is one of my favorite places to eat in Hong Kong. The service and food are wonderful. There are lots of choices for food and I've never had anything bad from here. The chili momos are so delicious! There are options for non-meat eaters too!

The Gorkhali set is my favorite if you're looking for a delicious, yet simple go-to meal. I recommend getting the Kulfi as a dessert, as the gulab juman is small, but very sweet.

If you want to go in the evening, I'd recommend calling to make a reservation or see about capacity. This place is popular for dinner time. The servers are very attentive, yet chill. Not the usual pressure to hurry up, eat, and leave that many HK spots have.

It seems to be a family owned restaurant and the warm atmosphere reflects this. There's Nepalese and Indian music that plays softly in the background. There's decor an art work that add to the simple charm of the place. There is a serving window in the back that allows you to see in the kitchen. It's pretty cool because they bake their naan bread and you can see them hand rolling their momos.

The washrooms are located out back. While they are very small, they are kept clean!

I've been coming to this restaurant for multiple years and I will continue to do so. Go...

I had the pleasure of dining at Manakamana Nepali restaurant, nestled at the end of Temple Street in Jordan, Hong Kong, and it was truly a culinary delight.

The flavors that emanated from this small and charming establishment were nothing short of amazing. The grilled lamb chops and tandoori chicken were, without a doubt, the best I have tasted in Hong Kong. Each bite was a burst of authentic Nepali flavors that left me craving for more.

What truly sets this place apart is not just the exceptional food but also the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. The waitresses, cooks, and all the staff members were incredibly accommodating and friendly, making my dining experience even more enjoyable.

In addition to the delectable dishes, Manakamana offers a selection of beer and whiskey to complement your meal. Whether you're looking to unwind with a drink or simply enhance the flavors of the already awesome food, they have you covered.

I find myself returning to Manakamana Nepali restaurant multiple times, simply because I am captivated by the overall experience they offer. It’s like home to me. If you appreciate great food, friendly service, and a cozy ambiance, this hidden gem in Jordan is...

Really good food, and lots of veg options, but super slow service. Had to wait for almost 40 min. Not well managed, clearly overworked servers and taking too many delivery orders to handle. I recommend visiting but only during a less busy time.

Update after seeing owner's response: Of course service at any restaurant is slower during peak times, but we saw tons of delivery orders being made while seated customers waited and kept having to check with the servers. Our server served us our curry without the naan, and we waited several minutes and asked again, eventually just ordering rice because we didn't want to wait any longer for them to make the naan.

Restaurants should temporarily pause accepting delivery orders if they're overwhelmed to the point that they can't provide acceptable service and are possibly losing potential repeat business. Restaurants on Deliveroo etc. do it all the time. My partner does not want to come back to this place because of the experience, even though he enjoyed the food.

After reading other reviews I see this is a common complaint. Instead of just making excuses, please re-examine...

Not often to write bad Reviews, but this place is so mediocre it deserves one. Food taste is less than average compared to other local Nepalese restos: momos lack taste, dahi puris are drowned in yoghurt and paneer Tikka was burned and tasted the way. To add up, there was a long hair in our Puris. Then the service: quite inattentive and could not answer questions regarding the menu. Worst of all: they prioritize all food delivery orders over in house customers so we waited 45 minutes for these simple plates. Worse even our Naan (simple bread should come first) came last when other dishes were cold already. It's right next to temple street night market so it's full of tourists that probably have no idea how real good Nepalese food tastes. Avoid.
